Just had a very enjoyable short break at Barty,s.  Very roomy and well equipped. The generous welcome hamper was much appreciated.  Our dog loved walking through Lanthwaite woods which is right on the doorstep and despite previous comments we were only charged £40 for him for the four nights. In a lovely quiet part of the lakes but plenty to do as we discovered when we were snowed in for a day!

Picturesque, romantic, memorable. Fresh air, gorgeous views, roomy cottages, cozy rooms with all the amenities one would need. Stocked welcome baskets and accommodating staff. Hot tub & sauna. Equally good distance to restaurants and treks alike. Would highly recommend this place.

We had a lovely stay here inMay ,were planning on going back next April ,but just heard they are now charging £40 for our small dog,for one night . Way over the top .
