Only stayed one night here, can't say I've experienced much of it. The restaurant was nearly closed when I got there but the staff was kind enough to prepare a meal for me with only a few minutes to closing time. Breakfast was typical cooked full English and quite tasty. 
Rooms were a bit cold as the heater did not work at all. The other negative I would have to point out is that I received a twin room instead of double with single beds and the duvets were too narrow. Overall I didn't have a comfortable sleep, but nothing worth taking more than one star. 
The room was spotless and the toilet seemed newly refurbished as you could still feel the smell of fresh paint. The décor was very stylish and cosy. Flat screen TV and WiFi was available.
The bar/restaurant seemed very lively and enjoyable. 
Overall it's a nice, quiet location however it seems a bit remote.

Traditional country pub with a touch of modern style. Nice place to call in if you're passing after a day out. Food high standard as would be expected for a lakes pub

Great place to eat! Lovely building and very friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent,  best steak and ale pie I've ever had. Everyone in our party was happy with their meals. Good atmosphere,  would definitely go again when I'm over that way.
