I'm only in the area for a few days but I happened on this pub by chance, and so glad I did.nLovely atmosphere and really friendly staff, especially the lady doing the meals. I ordered the beef and ale pie and it was amazing! Beautiful big chunks of lean steak, with mushrooms a gravy, with chips and peas on the side. The tastiest and most filling meal I've had in a long long time. Beautiful
Nelson Butt catered a corporate event I was hosting and the food was exceptional. Fresh and locally sourced, the attendees loved the food. Price reasonable too. Would definitely use again. Recommended.
Popped in for lunch and was not disappointed. Received a very warm welcome from all staff and were given menus and chose a table. Both had panini with salad and amazing home cut/cooked chips. I also had home made apple pie for pudding which was perfect. Only one minor criticism would be we weren't advised there was a specials board oh and dont try the car park as only 3 spaces and i got blocked in for 20 mins by a delivery driver.. Otherwise it was clean, efficient and friendly.
Lovely pub, staff were friendly, attentive and accomodating. Food was excellent, large portions and reasonably priced. Pies were particularly good.
