I wouldn't normally spend time posting a review of a car park; I mean, they're pretty basic, right? Unless they are exceptionally located and free - in which case I'd probably not advertise it sorry! However this place, NCP Nottingham Stoney Street, is the absolute pits and I think it's a civic duty to warn my fellow citizens about this dreadful car park. My son and I ended up here as a last resort when every other car park was full. Ridiculously narrow spaces? Check. Mini roadmen smoking bad weed on the top floor? Check. Used needles in the stairs? Check. Urine stench in the stairs? Check. Massively overpriced compared to better car parks? Check. Long queue to get out? Check. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Whilst this Car Park is convenient for the Lace Market area of Nottingham and the Arena. The cost to park is astronomical! £4 per hour is ridiculous. I parked from 6pm until 10.30pm and paid £21 to attend a concert. Plus queued for 20 minutes to get out after to be hit with this a £21 cost. I won't get caught out by NCP again. Note to self, check before you park. Hope I can help others not to make the same mistake.
We have a 7 seater car and it was a bit of a tight squeeze getting in to the car park. Other than that, it had plenty of spaces in the evening when we parked there. Paying was straight forward contact less at the exit gate.
Very expensive using the app is slightly cheaper however, it is very convenient for the Motorpoint Arena, that's the price you pay. It is a tight car park but plenty of 4x4s make it in, judging by the amount of car paint smeared on the pillars some drivers find it easier than others. Yes it's not very clean but not many inner city multistorey car parks are.
One of the worst carparks I have visited. The 1 star is for the convenience of where it is situated in relation to the motorpoint arena. The prices are daylight robbery, £20 for roughly 3 hours and it's apparent that these high costs are not used to pay cleaners to keep the place clean and tidy. The place absolutely stank of urine. The parking spaces were tight and some people were straddling 2 spaces. I would recommend avoiding this car park completely unless you drive a KA or smart car and have money to burn.
The only good thing about this car park is the vicinity to the Motorpoint Arena. I was planning on parking at the Broadmarsh Centre for £8 but was advised that Stoney Street was handy and a reasonable price. All the stairwells stank of urine, the spaces were very small, it cost £20 to park from 18:30 until 22:40, and we queued for a long time to get out.
Probably the worst car park I've ever been to. The level i was on wasn't lit up very well, the majority of the spaces were far to small and it absolutely stunk. I was parked there for about 2 hours and was charged £10. Absolute rip off.
£5 per hour to park here. Spaces are tight. Whole place stinks of urine. Better off looking for on street parking near by.
£5 an hour for what is quite possibly the worst car park I've ever used. The bays are ridiculously small and the whole place stinks of urine. Only one payment machine was working which resulted in over a 20 minute wait to pay, and then another half an hour to actually get out. Don't say you weren't warned.
This is why entertainment in Nottingham City Centre will die. 20 quid to park while just seeing a Panthers game at the Ice Arena feels like a total rip off. Won't be going back under any circumstances.
