How in 2022 is it OK for a carpark not to have CCTV? Convenient for the centre but completely insecure. Had my car window smashed and the car ransacked all for some change. Apparently the staff did try to track the guy who did it down but why would NCP as a company not have cameras??? Also although the car was broken into at 1.30am and NCP and the police were aware of it, it was left gaping wide open until I returned to it 16 hours later. Won't ever park here again. Please see the images of the guy who did it.
Very well lit car park and handy for Bridgewater Hall. First time using this car park and plenty of spaces. Very confusing though how to get out of car park with my daughter in a wheelchair. Had to walk up through the vehicle entrance to get out. Got back 3hrs later and some very helpful staff at the pay machine. Could have better signage to show disabled pedestrian exit and also vehicle exit as a few drivers could not find the exit.
Absolutely awful car park - pre booked and paid £17.25 prior to going to the Bridgewater Hall. On arrival there were no available spaces, the spaces are so narrow that the majority of car were parked over 2 spaces. Missed 20 minutes of the show due this. I will not use this car park again and will not recommend it.
This car park is VERY cramped and the spaces are so small that it is incredibly difficult if not impossible to get out of your car once you’re in a space, especially if you’re in the middle of the parking space. We had to unload children, bags and a pram and then the driver had to put the car in and try and squeeze out. We have a medium sized car. We just about managed but it was touch and go whether he would actually physically be able to get out of the car when it was in the space. We saw lots of people struggling to get enough of a turning space to actually get into the spaces and give up and drive off. When we tried to find the lifts it was very difficult to do so and ended up having to get help from a kind stranger to carry a pram up a very tall flight of stairs to get onto the street. To add insult to injury it cost about £8 for one hour. I’m going to avoid this at all costs from now on!!
We prebooked our parking space so didn't have the hassle of queueing to pay for parking on the night. Easy to book online. Good location for the Bridgewater Hall, plenty of spaces.
Unfortunately my car was broken into on 19/1/2022. The Area manager of NCP was Brilliant & had 2 of this guys help make the car as safe as they could until recovery. But the damage has gone in the the thousands & no CCTV to pick any of this up. I understand 4 other cars were broken into on the evening. Just to say the Staff were brilliant!
No idea how to pay. The app didn’t seem to take payment. Been on hold with customer services for over half an hour. The web chat is automated and doesn’t achieve anything. This is the worst parking app I have ever used.
Ridiculously expensive!! £21+ for 5 hours parking what a rip-off. Unfortunately NCP are taking over most of the car parks in the city so they can fleece the general public
It's OK but boy it's expensive now.. stopped in hotel nearby and parked overnight.. clocked up 27 hours of parking and cost £42..ouch also windscreen glass on floor as though cars had been broken in to ...
Visited Manchester on the 30th of September - Parked up at 1pm. Returned to Vehicle at 2pm to find out that someone had smashed the back window and stolen a bag. NCP guys over the phone said that it was a rare occurrence and never happened often. We managed to track down a member of staff who asked us to fill in a form...a form that had other peoples broken into cars listed. One on the 26th of September. One on the 23rd of September. So literally 3 break ins within a week. I would not leave my car in this car park as they are clearly not doing anything about the constant break ins. They charge a Premium to park here too with very little staff presence, as well as cameras in locations that would offer no decent information. "Sorry for the Inconvenience" is all they said to us. Just had to drive home for 2 hours without a Rear window. DO NOT PARK HERE.
