I went into the Stratford upon Avon branch of Nationwide this morning a very worried lady and walked out 15 minutes later an extremely happy one, thanks to a cashier called Sally who dealt with my problem efficiently and with kindness. Thanks again Sally .
Only one cashier when we walked in, but someone came from the back office v quickly when we joined the queue. The same happened for the person who walked in after us. Kerry was extremely helpful, answered all of our questions, solved a lot of problems and did a lot of tasks quickly. Then she found us a great deal and explained how we could get it.
Never usually have problems with this branch. But since covid it's hard to visit the branch at times. Today it was closed due to unforeseen circumstances. So i tried to do the deposit with the external machine. This wasn't taking deposits. I just don't understand what is going on with nationwide at the moment. It seems they are not intrested in the personal front of a high street bank/society. It makes you wonder why you bank with them as there really isn't anything keeping me as a customer at this moment. You may as welI use a beneficial online firm. I have held a account for 30 years.
I went into the branch yesterday afternoon. Following my initial call explaining what I required. I was then asked what was the reason for my visit. I explained again and told to go on line and look at the options. Very unhelpful. Existing customer looking elsewhere now.
I went into this branch on 2/8 and they wouldn't let me deposit cash into my current account over the counter. They insisted that I use the machine. There were 3 staff sat at the counter. I have had an account with Nationwide for 20 years. I do not want to deposit cash using a machine. I took my money elsewhere as it wasn't wanted here.
The only thing is that I have repeatedly told them to not give me a receipt. Just considering the amount of paper they must get through just giving receipts out without asking if you want or really need to have one. Just trying my best for environment. Otherwise a good service and great staff
A good solid bank / building society. This is a good branch with great service and very welcoming and helpful. They have an ATM outside as well.
