Amazing beach and lovely Forrest to explore while keeping and eye out for the red squirrels and other wildlife. The beautiful beach is so clean and the sand is awesome. Best place to go when the weather is good. They have public's toilets and a ice cream van near the entrance. Staff are friendly and it's only £6 for a car to go in and park for as long as you want. Highly recommend this place to take your family on a beach day or takes dogs for a long walk.

Great, vast beach area with sand dunes and woods. Fabulous facility for walkers, dogs, children, runners, beach buffs......the list goes on. Very popular on sunny days . Be warned and get there early or you'll end up in a long queue for the car parks. Worth taking a picnic as we only saw one outdoor refreshment cabin and a couple of ice cream vans.

Beautiful! So many different interesting routes to take through the woods. The friendly volunteers at the entrance gave us a map to find our way around. The red squirrels were running around and came right up to the paths. We walked straight from the woods to the beach and sand dunes and the beach rivalled some I've walked along in the Med! I will be going back! There was quite a queue forming as we left at 14:30 though so the earlier the better.

We took the kids there and they absolutely loved it. Rolling down the sand dunes, splashing in the cold water and skimming stones. Even walking in the sand and finding shells on the beach made it an adventure for them. It was low tide, but the small pools of water allowed us to still enjoy the water. We will definitely come back again.

Fantastic place to go with family and kids. Quite crowded on sunny days. If it's a bright sunny day make sure that you are there early. You might end up in queue for atleast 2 hours minimum. Better to park on one of the streets and walk down to the beach. There are a couple of ice cream vans. And a small coffee shop so highly recommend to get your own picnic.
