Southport Botanical Gardens is a lovely place to spend an afternoon. The floral displays are quite beautiful all year round, but especially so in the summer of course. There is limited parking at the front, but plenty to the rear. There is a coffee shop and toilets within the park. Toward the rear is a large play area for children and the young at heart. Admission is free.

Excellent park, can spend 3 hours there having a nice picnic.play Park, crazy golf and nice bird area with peacocks. Great for primary school age children. Park was well presented flower wise. Compared to previous years no train running.

I’m from Houston Texas. Maybe the only American to post about this area so far..... my fiancé at the time, who is from Southport brought me here. This was a few years ago and I just looked over the pictures and relived being here. It’s like a dream come true there and to be honest all parts big and small were amazing there. I definitely belong in England ! I miss the people I met here so very much! This is a beautiful serene place. Do go if ever you have a chance!

Visited while away on a weekend break. Lovely park with ponds and an aviary. Nice cafe too.. Worth a visit if you're in the area 👍
