If I'm working away from home for an extended period of time I tend to find myself in a Nandos at some point even though I'm not a huge fan. Like others I don't really "get" the attraction, apart from it's cheap. When I visited (early evening) it was extremely busy and very noisy. I was showed to a table beneath the stairs and handed a menu. If you haven't been before, the drill is simple: choose from the menu, order and pay at the bar, and leave as soon as you've eaten. Food is brought to your table but you have to fetch your own cutlery etc. I ordered the extra hot chicken pitta, some chips, and a side of coleslaw. It was brought to the table quickly and although it was tasty and filled me I can't say I was wowed by it. I know some people absolutely love Nandos but to me it's just chicken and chips, served in a glorified canteen.
