I visited the Movie House today to see the film Lyra. I bought my ticket when I arrived at the cinema. The seats were very comfortable. I always enjoy a visit to the Movie House, although I miss the Dublin Road Movie House, which was our local one, spent many happy hours there with my family.
VIP seating made it incredibly comfortable! Buying tickets online was easy and there are always lots of films to choose from. I'll definitely be back.
Good selection of snacks. Ice cream and coffees. They are now they are able to sell alcohol as well. As always with cinemas it’s just a shame how pricey everything is. Child’s ticket costs the same as an adult. They do autism screenings which is great but as always with these types of things they are at early morning or at times when they would not usually have anyone in anyway and while I think it’s a good thing I do feel it’s just more monetisation for the cinema.
First-time back since the out break of COVID-19.... It's done up nicely, and Clean. We had a good time. Will definitely be going back.
Visited this cinema as we had a free movie pass and free popcorn and drinks, We did have a slight problem with the ticket barcode but this was sorted by the manager very quickly, The staff where so friendly and as my wife needed disabled access to get upstairs the staff sorted it out from the lift to not having to climb stairs it was fantastic, The staff really where professional and we'll mannered at all times, The cinema has great recliner seats which were so comfortable and also had drinks holders, We were shown to our seats again by a very nice staff member who was also well mannered, I would have no hesitation in recommending this cinema complex for a very enjoyable film viewing, Thank you to all the staff for a fantastic evening, We will definitely be returned.
I haven't visited this place in some time, even before covid. The staff are good at their job, but management don't care. Our movie finished 10 minutes before the end and a different movie the next one I wanted to go and watch started playing and showed me the last 10 minutes of that movie instead spoiling both movies . Management told us "sorry there is nothing we can do". They could have offered free tickets to a different movie, but the customer doesn't matter. Make sure you don't drink too much the toilets are 50-50 on cleanliness. And don't have a big meal before you go, you don't want to risk a number 2 in these facilities.
I've been using this Cinema for years. Staff are always very good and the place is kept spotless. Sound, screens and seats are all fantastic. Most screens are now fully VIP with electric seats. Parking is also good and FREE.
Located in an area accessible by public transport with excellent parking facilities and family friendly restaurants and fast food. The vip screens are incredibly comfortable, the seats are staggered in such a way that everyone should be able to see but if not, plenty of booster seats. Clean accessibile toilets. Decent selection of treats and snacks which are as expensive as you'd expect in a cinema.
Been twice recently to the VIP seats at Movie House City Side. First to see Spider-Man and then Lion King. I was very impressed by the VIP seating, definitely better for me due to having fibromyalgia and a bad back. It made going to the cinema a much more pleasurable experience. My only concern would be that it got very cold both times - possibly because it wasn’t a packed room. Also at Lion King there were too many toddlers running around x3 right beside us 2hr film is not suitable for that age group so it ruined the experience for us with what should have been an epic movie. We were there with a 6 year old. It won’t put me off going again but I would like to see parents with small children reconsider whether or not it’s fair for other people who have paid to deal with your child running up and down the aisle, screaming and chattering and interrupting and disturbing other people while you do nothing :
First time visiting to see "Mountains on Stage". A bit surprised that we were able to walk right through without ticket being checked. Great set of films.
