Went with family, had a lovely, time. Sat out side ,so grandaughter could play. Staff friendly. Food delicious.
Relaxed and refined pub dining in exquisite scenery - enjoyed the delicious summer special of slow cooked pork belly, apple and grape salad with a blue cheese and walnut topping.
Very friendly service. Food took a while to come out but was hot and portion sizes were good. Our waitress offered to bring out our children's meals quicker i think she may have heard them saying they are hungry, it was a nice touch. Overall a great meal out.
Great looking pub. Restaurant is good size shame the food isn't the same. Don't go if your hungry or skint. Friendly staff plenty of parking.
Had the best meal we’ve had for ages. Beef stroganoff for my husband and aubergine roulade for me. Such a nice change for the veggie option NOT to be mushroom risotto or something with goats cheese. This was absolutely delicious and we really felt the chef cared about how his food tasted and not just the presentation. Desserts also couldn’t be faulted. Waitresses friendly and efficient. Would go back there definitely.
Very nice food, could do with an extra vegetarian option possibly but apart from that I couldn't find fault.
Lovely setting, excellent food..a long, long wait but we were a very large party.
New chef and menu. Overpriced, poor quality and small portions. Waited over an hour for sausage and mash when there were three occupied tables in the restaurant. So much potential but disappointed unfortunately.
Overall okay experience, the food is super tasty and the indoor and outdoor space is beautiful! Only downside is the service, it came across a bit rude/strange, we were asked strange questions while ordering on how much we will be spending etc and the chef might not be able to cook for 5 people. We also had our drinks forgotten after reminding them a few times and it wasn’t busy.
My husband mentioned he was getting over a chest infection and could the heater be moved closer, and we were asked to leave! Will never go there again.
