What a great hotel. Clean friendly and great value for money. Have 4 times now and can’t fault it. Breakfast very busy but hay we all like a eat as much as you like so you can’t predict when people come down. The staff dealt with a busy sitting fantastically

We held a Carlisle Ambassadors' event for over 200 people at the Milton Hilltop Hotel, and I was so pleased with the level of consistent support on lead up to this and to the great service on the day. It may not be as up-to-date in terms of decor as some of the local venues (I think work is ongoing), but the function room is smart, and Ashley and the team make up for any of this with fabulous service, and excellent catering. Thank you to you all.

Booked here for three nights but left after one. The room was awful, wallpaper coming off, black damp patches in the bathroom, the toilet looked like a public convenience. Silverfish in the bath. That said, the sheets and towels were clean and the food in the restaurant at night was good. The breakfast was greasy. We checked out, made our and were refunded for the unused nights.

Don't judge the place by its first impressions, it's tired yes but the staff are really good and helpful, the food is great and reasonably priced, for the prices they are charging for the room it's good value and we would return if staying in this area again. You get the use of the in house gym, pool etc in the price of the room, there's free Wi-Fi.

Not very clean and in need of serious refurb. Had to change rooms in the middle of the night as the room was stiffling hot and heating could not be controlled. Shower was stuck on one setting (hot) and red hot exposed pipes running through the rooms. There was enough loose hairs in the bathroom to make a wig.
