I have stayed at a number of IBIS hotels in continental Europe over the years, but I have to say this one in Carlisle is particularly exceptional and we'll run. Everyone is so friendly, the hotel has been modernised, much nicer than a Premier Inn, and a lot better than a Travel Lodge. Clean rooms, brilliant staff and breakfast.

Excellent budget hotel. Absolutely ideal location in Carlisle - 2 minute walk from the train station. Staff were very very friendly - check in was prompt using a phone. Room very clean and spacious. Highly recommended.

Good Ibis hotel situated in middle of town. Did not have a booking but was able to get a twin for the night. Would use this hotel again. Breakfast was excellent, with the full works available.

Was good, unfortunately my room was above a fast food shop and smelled of fried food. Bit of a shame... Everything else about my stay there was great. Staff very helpful, room clean, breakfast excellent. Even the coffee was decent. Would've got 5 stars if the room didnt smell like a chip shop.
