Just got back from staying at East View and totally second everything written about it above. The B&B is spotlessly clean and comfy. Breakfast was amazing. Our room was very tastefully decorated and smelled beautiful. Really gorgeous bathroom. Julie was the perfect hostess and we really could not find a single fault during our stay there. If you are considering Carlisle make East View B&B the one you choose. You will NOT be disappointed. 10/10

Recently spent two night there. Not allowed in until 3.00pm. The room was reasonable and clean. Breakfast was between 7.30 and 8.30, a bit early for folks on a leisure break. Breakfast was awful, and an eagerly awaited pot of coffee undrinkable. Even worse, there was a television on in the corner of the breakfast room. Conversation was killed before it started. Second morning I settled for toast and tea. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We looked at quite a few B&Bs before deciding on this one, we made the right choice. A lovely, clean guest house with friendly hosts. Our room was nicely decorated and very well stocked with toiletries, plenty of clean towels (even face cloths) and a lovely, comfy bed (feather pillows and duvet). The B&B itself is about a 5 minute walk into town, which is handy. I have to say I was very impressed with breakfast. There is a wide variety to choose from; I had cranberry juice followed by a bowl of fruit, full English breakfast and then a cup of peppermint tea. The full English was delicious! We stayed in The Hilton in Manchester a couple of weeks a go and this breakfast beats the Hilton's hands down. We would definitely stay here again next time we come up to Carlisle. No hesitation in recommending this B&B to others.
