Absolutely beautiful spot. We did go for an organised abseil for fundraising but ended up having a beautiful time. Lovely place for dogs he went in the river and the kids loved it. Ended up having a lovely family day out
Easy to access. Pay and display. Lots of parking. Park here and you can stop at the railway station. Walk from the trail all the way to the stepping stones and in addition the tunnels and bridges. This is a good place to park if you want to base your walking from here as it will take you 45 mins to the stepping stones or 20 mins to the tunnels. I would use this again
Had a wonderful walk with dogs, off lead most of the way. Pay and display parking, and cafe served great food and drink.
Always very busy regardless of time. I always park at the very top of the hill or at the bottom and walk up/down to the car park to start my walk. Pictures are from the Monsal Trail
Car park can get busy but didnt have to wait long for a space to come up. Nice cafe, coffee and cake well deserved after a long walk round Chee dale and the monsal trail.
Great walk Went of the main track Walked next to the river. Fantastic scenery Will come again.
Lovely place to start your monsal trail. There's onsite toilets and a great cafe, the cafe offers hot food and hot/cold drinks.
Lots of different walks that you can take from this car park. With some amazing views
Really lovely little cafe and rest stop. The loos were a little grim - spiders and a loo that wasn't easy to flush. BUT the cakes! The date bar, cake/slice was out of this world. I want to try and replicate it. Really fair prices, really friendly staff and they have vegan options.
Well placed car park to get onto The Monsal Trail, quite a few parking spaces, reasonable price I payed with card, I think you can pay with cash. An added bonus, a little cafe in the old station house and much needed after a good walk along the trail .
