Free parking for the day because the machines weren't working and lots of service works going on  giving 4 stars for free parking other wise would have given 3 because the signage is poor

Signage needs improving. We paid to park and realised we paid for the rear carpark which is connected to the front. Luckily it wasn't busy so we were able to move the car.

Excellent position for all the shops and Riverside walk there are public toilets

Parking machines are cash only and don't give change either. Also, no signal to be able to download app, so a very short stay in Bakewell on Saturday.

Even though there is a designated motorcycle bay, a charge applies the same as for a car yet a bike takes up far less space. Throughout the UK, apart from central London, this council is the only one I’m aware of that charges motorcycles for parking in a bike space. Tickets are a challenge to display on a bike especially when they aren’t self-adhesive.
