Visit to Miller & Carter - Thursday 1st March After supporting and ferrying me to Poole hospital for a check up on my very recently broken leg, (I was on crutches) my sister and I decided to pop into Miller & Carter in Wallisdown for a well deserved lunch, only for my sister to be stopped at the door and refused entry due to wearing what the waitress described as 'sports wear.' We were both dressed adequately for the very snowy weather and were both wearing new jogging bottoms with walking shoes (not trainers) (leggings in my opinion are much worse) we are both in our 60's and respectable people. I need to wear a full leg brace and only jogging bottoms will cover this!, My sister had been pushing me around in my wheelchair previously in the hospital - try doing that in heels !!!! The bar was empty and it was unlikely to have many more visitors that day due to the deteriorating snowy weather conditions. My lovely sister was massively embarassed and I have to say I could not be more angry or disgusted with the waitress or the supposed policy of this pub. Surely consideration could have been given in these extreme circumstances. I would not recommend this inflexible pub to anyone Daphne Sullivan

Lovely place. Nice and warm. Lovely service!. The most important: wonderful food.! Excellent!! Just don't use the table under the stairs.

Excellent food, would recommend and will certainly visit again. I had the mushroom starter and burger for main. My partner also had the mushroom starter but had steak for his main which he loved. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Lovely clean modern restaurant. Plenty of on site free parking. Would have given it 5 stars but our bill was incorrect 3 times lol

This venue has just been reopened after a fire. The venue has been completely refurbished in the Miller and Carter style. The meal was very good and the service was also very good. I was very surprised to find that there were few customers about but I expect it will become busier once people realise that it has reopened. Our meals were reasonably priced and represented good value.

Amount of food good value for money. Prices higher but excellent quality. Able to cater around food restrictions. Non alcoholic cocktails are amazing (strawberry twist is my fav). Highly recommended.
