Just stayed for 2 nights. In their disabled friendly room. The Hotel was easy to get around with a wheelchair. Our room was good with a wet room. The Bar and restaurant we're very accessible. Most of all the staff we're brilliant very helpful. Lovely Breakfast. Would book again

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in, bar none. Where do I begin? There was a loud buzzing sound in the room, probably due to the ventilation system, that was even louder in the corridor, so bring some earplugs if you're not a heavy sleeper. I would have asked for another room, but the sound was just as bad on both the first and second floors. The quilt on the double bed did not reach the edges of the bed and seemed no larger than a single. I used the pool and sauna, which are the only redeeming features of this establishment. That being said, the gents changing room could only be described as grim. When I returned to my room there was no hot water to shave or shower. I fancied some lunch in my room, but there is no room service during the day, and no bar food available either. What about the staff? The chambermaid who serviced our room was the only friendly and helpful person we encountered. The front desk clerk was clearly not suited to dealing with members of the public. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her from the moment we arrived. When we went down to the restaurant for breakfast in the morning, with half an hour to spare before they were due to stop serving, both of the waitresses made it abundantly clear that they were closing soon and we should get a move on. No pressure there then? I have stayed in Mercure hotels in the past when I have been travelling and they have usually been of a decent standard, but I would not recommend this one to anyone. I'm not quite sure if they understand the term "customer service?" Basil Fawlty would fit in nicely here.

Good hotel with very helpful / friendly staff. My room was clean and a decent size with a comfy bed. I used the pool whilst here, which was a reasonable size for a hotel pool. The gents changing room, particularly the showers were really dirty. Overall good value for money and I would stay here again

Nice foyer. Room looked OK at first glance but was rather grubby on closer inspection. Booked a double, but got a triple, which was rather disappointing because I wanted a double bed, rather than my choice of singles. The bed I slept in was very comfortable. There was another one that looked similar, then the third was like something they had found in the attic with a thin creaky squishy mattress. So the triple is really only suitable if one of you is a child or very light adult. A final word of warning. I have not previously used the do not disturb sign if checking out the next day, because rooms are usually left until after checkout due to the pointlessness of cleaning a room twice in one morning. You need to use the do not disturb sign here. At 8:30 I was woken by a quiet little knock, which I assumed must have actually been the door next to mine, only to have someone coming in straight afterwards. Not the ideal start to the day, but it worked better than the alarm I had ignored. Lesson learned. I will be using the sign in future even on my last night in places.

Nice hotel. Clean and tidy rooms. Beautiful bathrooms. Free entry to swimming pool and sauna. Big car park. Receptionist had a beautiful french accent which put a smile on my face straight away.
