It had no choice of shoes he opens when he wants and he wanted  £400 for a pair of shoes that should have been no more than £80-100

A total gem of a shop. 

I pay 90-110 here for Loakes. Loakes! The prices here all year round are lower than in the West End at sale time. Fred who runs the shop has a genial and slightly mournful manner to him, and knows his merchandise to the least detail. For mens boots, Oxfords, loafers and brogues, take the trip South.

Other local attractions: East Street market, the next door Caff, and Edwardes large bicycle shop up the road towards Camberwell (which itself has another two bike shops on Camberwell Church Street, but of the hipster variety)
