A surprisingly food variety when you like to turn also to the right, away from the fresh food and take away stalls. Branch intern bakery, a large wine and beer offer, a very good place if you quickly want to get essentials for a good healthy meal. Staff is friendly and present. Very friendly ladies and gentlemen at the check out counter....and also a good amount of self check out options.

Don't be fooled by the small store frontage. I was delighted to find that this Marks and Spencers has a food section as well. Popped in 'quickly' for a gift but spent ages browsing a gem in the middle of Brixton. Staff were friendly and helpful. More advertising should be done for this particular store unless locals are trying to keep it a secret. Very conveniently located near public transport in particular Brixton tube station.

I prefer the Marks Spencer in Clapham south. Because is quite, but the staff in Brixton branch goes the extra mile they make this store the most friendly in the country. Is been 16 that I been going there and the never cease to disappoint.

Excellent quality food, particularly vegetables and salad, and good, affordable prices, but wine is far too high priced and M&S need to do something about that. Some staff are extremely friendly and helpful, Alison, Michael and Ruby spring to mind, and there are others whose names I cannot recall - but a few are rude, unfriendly and even aggressive (including one particular manager) and this needs to be addressed; perhaps by holding a staff meeting and impressing the value of good customer services? All things taken into account, it's a very good store, which is why I have given it 4 stars.

Small store. Quality food, on the expensive side. Not impressed with staff attitude, except for a few of the more mature cashiers. Always stock and staff in the way of the goods and blocking aisles. Have heard so many unprofessional conversations that should be for the staff room and not on the shop floor.
