Very nice big park with kids play area and dedicated football zone. I like the way trees are are planted in line looks so nice .
Melbourne Park is very friendly place to take your friends and family ! Special now we have a cafe, have a hot drink and facilities there too ! Big park for the children to play. Come and enjoy your beautiful community
I think park management needs to address issue related to dogs. Dog walkers freely unleash aggressive dogs to create potentially dangerous situation for public.
I live next to this park, and I was wondering if its allowed to fly a drone in this park ? obviously when there is not crowded and no sport evens are running. can somebody answer this question please, I do have a licence for my drone, I have two of them one of them is recording HD videos, other one is equipped with a GoPro, for more wide and High quality Videos and Pictures. I'm just flying for training purposes, and videos that would be taken is for my personal use to practice editing them. on air maps it shows that there is no restrictions on this airspace and no needed permission from the landowner. just wanted to be sure that there is no restrictions for using a drone.
Lovely space to walk dogs, watch some football or just get in touch with nature
I'm a regular visitor to this park. This is our very local park. We used to go there with our family and enjoy a lot. But now it seems like it's not a public park anymore. All we can see now is, it's a football training ground. So noisy you can see about 20 different football teams. Whoever is running this park now is like a private company. It's unacceptable. We cant even organise small family football with our kids. As it says we have to pay now. Rip off. We need to make serious complaints to the local authority.
This is our local park. It's a lovely space and yet I think so much more could be added to this park to really make it beautiful. The childrens play area could be updated and even extended, there could be a pond, a flower garden etc I'm thinking along the lines of Arnold Park as there is more than enough space to add these features.
Changed a lot since I use to play there.
Quite a nice park, a well equipped enclosed play area for children, large open spaces to chill out or walk the dog. We go quite often just to get away from the stresses and rush of everyday life. The park is kept clean and tidy, there is a YMCA within the grounds offering a few local activities. There is even a basketball area for older kids to play. So all in all, it's good to go and chill, plenty of room for lots of people, younger kids can play for an hour or so without getting bored, and older kids can play basketball or football for a couple hours. It's surrounded by busy roads and traffic but you wouldn't think so as it's peaceful and relaxing. A much needed break from noise and stress that the whole family can enjoy
Nice park for a walk. There are some football pitches and swings and slides for the kids. Good for dog walkers too.
