Ideal for long walks or bicycle ride. Spacious car park. Garden centre impressive. You can help yourself with fruits and veg and pay a recommended fee as a donation. Further down you get a restaurant and a gift shop. The lake is huge and you can walk all the way round.
Beautiful location for walking and biking. You can hire bicycles on-site. There's an excellent cafe, and numerous places to stop and grab a drink. They have doggy ice-cream! The gigantic greenhouse is astounding, and doubles-up as a small local life museum. Grade 1 listed buildings all-around. Perfect place to come for gardening inspiration, and for musing over the waterway.
Nice place to visit with family or , distance around the lake 3.5 miles. Quite, clean, lots of ducks and squirrels. Entry fee £5 per head. I was on Wednesday, lots of spaces for your . Easy walk around with ice cream break 1h45m. Recommended
Plenty of different walks to do. We walked around the lake which is 5 miles but a stopping point half way around for a refreshing drinks was very welcomed. It was very accessible for all. Not much cover around the main shop and cafe area.
Spent a lovely afternoon wandering through the kitchen garden, followed by leisurely walk around the lake with a stop off for a spot of lunch at the picnic area. Plenty of seating, toilets & a snack van. Area was litter free & toilets were clean. What a pleasant day! Lots of different activities for any little ones, a café, shop, bike & mobility hire shop. Well worth the price of admission.
Really lovely even despite the heavy rain during our visit—coffee and snacks were still being sold, staff were friendly and helpful, parking was plentiful, dog walkers and cyclists were courteous, grounds were clean, pumpkins were dotted about along with little spots for autumnal photos. Our kids had buckets of fun puddle jumping and finding dry dens as shelter from the weather and so did we!—we'll definitely be back to explore more of the grounds and I'll update my review then, too x x
If you want to relax, this place is for you. You can have a long walk around the lake, in the woods or both. The place is dog friendly, but due to wildlife, you will have to keep it on the lead. In case you're hungry, you can either have a picnic, eat at the cafe and kiosk or grab a snack from the food trailer while on a walk. For those who don't want to pay for the car park, there are free parking spaces along the road, within walking distance of the lake and visitors' centre. Perfect for families with kids either, with a well-maintained playground. The toilets available at the centre are always very clean, not sure about others nearby the food trailer tho. I adore Clumber Park and visit it often, as I love nature, although during the weekend it might be crowded, especially on warm days. Highly recommended tho
What a lovely place! Whether kids, dogs, jogging, cycling or a solo walk such lovely grounds to walk round saw the birds on the lake getting fed from their red bucket, didn't get takeaway cuppas but wish had as cafe was closed by time we'd walked the long way round. Nice church, a few squirrels and black deer plus a bambi colour! Restrooms: Nice and clean Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly cafe
Wow, what an amazing place, there is so much to see and do. The estate is massive with loads of walking options. There's a lovely walled garden with some lovely plants and green house. Plenty of parking with a really nice cafe. The toilets were being refurbished when I was there so there was portable loos instead.
A great place for walking and cycling to! We went on a family walk, we stayed near by and were able to walk to the park. We liked it so much I hired some bikes the next day and went cycling with my 10 year old to! Cafe, park, walled garden, etc. Definitely worth a visit.
