What a lovely, calming place! Very big, yet not too easy to get lost. Great parks for the children too. I came here for a day with my friends first time I’ve been here for maybe 10 years, and we loved it. Perfect for us to having a picnic and play some card games. 100% coming again! Playground: I saw 2 not sure if there’s more and they are both great! Restrooms: A bit uncomfortable but not dirty. Dog-friendliness: Perfect for dogs to run around Picnic area: You can sit on the grass a lot of which is actually clean, and I believe I saw picnic tables too
Fantastic spot for anyone who loves the outdoors. It's incredibly huge, offering multiple bike paths that make it perfect for cycling or running. The park has beautiful lake viewpoints that are great for relaxing, and you'll often spot plenty of ducks around. What stands out is how clean the paths are. There are also plenty of benches where you can take a break and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it's a refreshing place to escape the city and enjoy some tranquility.
Beautiful park. Would be even better if the car park wasn’t that dusty. The place has two bars one at the entrance where you can get some foods and drinks and another somewhere in the park there is facility like toilets, play grounds for kids and so many activities. Good for walking and cycling. Playground: Two play grounds . Restrooms: There is toilet and a changing room for infant. Dog-friendliness: There are dog litter everywhere so one should always bring a bag and gloves to pick their dog mess and throw it into the next closest litter . There is no excuse. Picnic area: The park is so big that it’s easy to find a place for picnic
Nice place in the city To relax. You can enjoy walking your dogs Or find a quiet place to be alone In silence enjoying nature.
Great park with two big lakes, woodlands and plenty open spaces to throw a ball for your dog or enjoy a picnic when the weather permits. In summer you can do wild swimming. There's also a couple of places where you can grab some food and a drink. I've knocked a point off as it's not as nice lately due to all the people living in vans and tents around the park. It wouldn't be an issue if they had a little more respect for the area. But they make fires on the grassed areas next to the river and leave bags of rubbish all over the place. They also use the park as a public toilet and fish illegally. The council should move them on if they can't have a little respect for the park.
We only had a short time here for lunch but definitely somewhere we will visit again to explore in more detail.
Huge Park east of Nottingham city. I used to visit for walking and refreshing. Recommend to everyone.
Amazing place to swim or paddleboard and Wired on Wheels is fantastic for food and drinks by the west lake!
What a great place for a walk. Plenty of wide paths and lots that have tarmac paths. I find if you get there before 7 am you have most of the park to yourself which is great if you're into wildlife photography. Around 9am it starts getting busy right up until dusk. Dogs are allowed even though when not on a lead they chase the ducks and do there business in the woods so some owners don't pick it up. Fishing is allowed day and night with a permit. The downside to the park is that they don't have a proper café with toilets which I think would benefit the park. Plenty of wildlife to see and a small park for the little one's. There are benches and picnic tables dotted around the park. Picnic area: A few picnic tables dotted around.
Love to new hard pathways, great for disabled..... you can roll all the way around the lakes.... and get coffee without any steps or mud
