Beautiful park, walkways, lake with ducks & swans. Great for the whole family, children's sensory area, lovely coffee shop. Lots of seating around the lake for the elderly or just to take in the tranquility. Love our day there.
This park is a perfect family park, lots of paths trees and fields to explore as well as toilets and a small cafe. The kids love the play area and outdoor gym space too. There is a well attended parkrun held here and kids parkrun, as well as Ramblers Wellbeing Walks most weeks. There is a changing place here in the little building they have near the car park too which also has a room with a large screen which would hold around 30 people and a small kitchenette for groups to hire. The paths round the lake are really accessible hard paths for a shorter walk or there are many longer routes round. There's even a dogs play area with training equipment Playground: Newly refurbished it has equipment for small children all the way to teens/adults with different types of swings, a skate park and cycle/BMX style track Restrooms: There are toilets at the carpark side of the park including a changing places facilities with toilet and shower in the small building there. There are also very well kept modern compost toilets near the play area which are very useful. Dog-friendliness: This park has many visitors with dogs lots of space to run and explore and a dog training park with equipment such as ramps, tunnels jumps and poles Picnic area: There are a few different picnic areas the main ones being at the cafe near the entrance and the other being next to the play area and coffee vans. These have picnic benches which seat around 4-6 people. People often bring blankets and sometimes small gazebos. There are also many benches in the area along footpaths, and big fields good for putting down a blanket, which makes good picnic spots
Very well maintained country park with nice benches and no litter at all what unfortunately is not so obvious in England. There are places there to buy refreshments, ice cream and cakes. There is a very good playground for children and a sensory trail. Playground: Modern, well maintained playground. Restrooms: Clean, accessible toilets. Dog-friendliness: Dedicated area where dogs can run free.
For me as a Nanna, perfect place, musical walks, round the river, look at the ducks and birds. Then take the kids to the wonderful park. Picnic tables and seating around, all ages catered for. Kids love the sand pit, slides and swings. Ice creams for kids and coffees for adults. Playground: All ages. Assortment of equipment. Dog-friendliness: Perfect for dogs and dog lovers Picnic area: They are everywhere dotted around all of the walks
Excellent park with a nice range of outdoor places. You have woods, a large well maintained pond, fields, meadows, gravel paths, a picnic spot and a play area for kids. There's also clean toilets and places you can get icecreams, food and drinks. Next door you also have a museum of public transport with a mini train you can take a ride on, and a cafe. The photos were taken at the end of March.
