In terms of the rooms, we had absolutely no issues. We got a free upgrade to a family room, which was lovely, and everything about the room was amazing from start to finish. We also found our service to be impeccable! Staff were always happy to oblige us, from silly questions to genuine help getting around Manchester, they were fantastic Our one issue would be the location - it serves it's purpose of being close to the airport, but it isn't close to much else. Our easiest transit lines were either a shuttle to the airport, then a train from there, or taxi services. Otherwise, a fantastic place to stay! Noteworthy details: It has a pool!
We went for a spa day and was unimpressed. The pool and saunas are OK but the whole place could do with a serious lick of paint. The staff are very friendly and courteous. We both had a massage which was OK. We have had better and a lot worse. The therapist was very nice and very quiet. Parking isn't a problem just don't forget to log it in to the machine at the reception. And it's free.
Very good value. All the staff were lovely and also jolly. The breakfast is great. The pool could do with re-decorating but is still very, very nice. Room quiet, excellent black out curtains, great night’s sleep.
Stopped on the way on holiday and the room, restaurant and service was all good. Booked a last minute night returning due to a very delayed flight, and again got a good rate and good service. The cherry on the top was a surprise bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon. Not expected at all and such a lovely gesture. Rooms: 5/5
Great hotel. Staff are lovely and helpful. Pool and gym are wonderful. Inly down fall is the restaurant Blanca. Dinner and breakfast were brutal. Staff for both dinner and breakfast tried hard bur badly let down by their supposed managers. Give the Blanca restaurant a miss They do have an Italian restaurant on site that looked nice.
I thought it was a great hotel up until this week. I left my earphones at this hotel during a stay and consequently called them to see if they had found. They had; so I requested that they be shipped to me. They informed me that I would have to pay for shipping, which I was happy for. Since then, I was told, I will be getting an email with "how to pay for the shipping?". I never received it. I called back a few times and now the housekeeping/loss prevention staff refuses to answer the phone or call back to my voicemail that I left. I mean if you want to keep the earphones, just say that you haven't found them. Lost credibility in my view. Never again! Definitely an integrity issue and lack of ownership.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times when I come from the US. The last time they were going thru an upgrade. Staying three nights this week and rooms are very nice. Staff was always and still is amazing. Two great restaurants attached and the concierge lounge is great. Highly recommended. Look forward to my next stay.
Bedroom was so hot even with air con on, ended up with windows open and still no air to speak of - whole hotel was too warm and stuffy. Sofa bed really uncomfortable for 10 year old, swimming pool closed Sun on arrival & Mon so not able to use the whole time we stayed. When I booked I said that my son is coeliac and whether he could have gluten free sausages, hash browns & beans for breakfast & had confirmation the request was on my reservation however at breakfast the restaurant & chef knew nothing about it so had a disappointed son on my hands. Terrible experience and service for £150/night. I wouldn’t have paid £50 for the stay we had. Such a shame as it was supposed to be a Christmas treat whilst visiting relatives
The location of thus hotel is great for the airport. The rooms are OK but nothing startling. The hotel does have 2 restaurants which are fine, if a little expensive for what they are. The practice of putting a charge against your credit card when you arrive is a bit cheeky though. That and the fact that the hotel has to have huge doorstaff seems to suggest that the hotel has problems with quite a few of its clientele. Saying that, I saw no trouble.
Used this hotel for the past 5years apart from covid restrictions on a park & fly basis.Always @ a reasonable rate around £200 for a one night stay without breakfast & 2 weeks parking on site. This year for the same package £400. How on earth can this be justified.Needless to say we won't be using the Hotel again.or recommending as we have done in the past.
