Bought a very low mileage car from MacKinnon Motors, without seeing as live 479 miles away. Very helpful owner and Salesman, Ryan. Sent Video of car. Car delivered on transporter, as agreed. New MOT provided on car.
Avoid.... viewed a Volvo. Traveled over 100 miles. Was told the cambelt and water pump had just been done. On inspection of the car it was clear the cambelt was old and not done. When I asked the gentleman about the cambelt he became very offended and annoyed. And very hostile, complete waste of my time. Be careful when buying a car of these people.
Took my car for MOT last month. Everything was ok till I noticed oil leaking from the under the engine. Took the car back in for oil leak check plus full service. It turned out the oil dip stick was not put in its place and it made a mess of everything under the bonnet with oil spilling everywhere. This must have happened during the MOT as I never opened the bonnet since then. Despite that no compensation was offered and all I got was an apology. I still had to pay for steam cleaning the engine compartment plus labour plus VAT. NOT HAPPY. Time to look elsewhere for a better service I think. Shame...
This is a great garage run by nice people. I bought a fab Audi A3 from them a little while ago. Reasonably priced, fully serviced and mot'd. I'm very happy with it.
Just bought a cracking Golf from here last Saturday. By far the best car I’ve owned. I really needed the car the same day that I called about it so they had it prepped and ready to go for me. Put a fresh mot on it, new brakes, tracking, serviced, the lot. Couldn't have asked for more. Would highly recommend.
We have just bought a used SUV here and I must say the service was really great. We had like 100 questions which were all answered professionally and patiently. Pricing is also very fair and we are planning to come back whenever we need repair or help - can really recommend this dealer!
Although I don't have a problem with the car , I do have a problem with the garage . The car was advertised as having full service history . Falsely advertised . However 2 months on the garage has failed to provide any evidence of this . When i got the car home there was no service book or car manual with the car , when queried they went to the previous owner to get it , they didn't have it so I don't know how it could be supplied with full service history . It will obviously impact any future sale I have - be VERY wary when buying a car at this garage .
This is my second happy purchase for another good priced quality car in immaculate condition. A family run business where low prices and friendly service makes it a pleasure to do business. Forget the hard sell. Honesty and quality speak for themselves.
Were there to view a second hand car which we did buy, it is mainly a service garage it is accessed down a narrow lane gentleman that dealt with us was nice, he may have been owner.
Bought a van from them that was ideal and as advertised. Although I wish they atleast valeted it or cleaned the inside before I came to collect it. Was all sorts of rubbish inside it and burst vape liquid in glove box. Other than that the service was ideal. Got the price I wanted for my part exchange and the van has been running great.
