So this place is great if you like leaving somewhere feeling more depressed and anxious. Let me just mention how my friend got a doctor who did not even speak English. My doctor told me dosage of my anti depressant is to low and not do anything for me and refused to increase it. Because I’m not ringing them up everyday saying I’m suicidal. He also told me my anxiety was fine when it’s not. He took me of a medication without reading my file to find out why I take it he also said 10 thousand steps is one mile. He also talked down to me for not having a job. Avoid this place with a 30 foot pole. Also they make you wait 20-30 minutes for a 5 minute appointment. Please don’t go here
They made me worse. I've been going for 13 years. They told me I was diagnosed with BPD at the age of 17... when I was 25! How is that not proof this place is awful? Countless phone calls to leave are met with empty promises. The people rating this place 5 stars just sound like the staff trying to bump their numbers because I don't believe anyone is stupid enough to think this place is good. Every paramedic and GP I have spoken to about this place all agree it's a joke. They're only still around because they're the only mental health clinic in the Solihull area, and they know this, so they feel untouchable. If you really want help for yourself or a friend/ family member... avoid this place, if you're a patient, contact the CQC, and let's put a stop to this awful place. The fact that it's a "free service" doesn't matter. The people using that as an excuse should be ashamed of themselves for using excuses like that to put down the opinions of people struggling with life.
Do you like wasting time? Money? And Fuel? Then this is the place for you! For me it’s a 45 minute round trip I had to make 3 times due to them not stamping the prescription, then going back for them to use the wrong stamp to go back again and then wait 30 minutes for all 37 of them to work together to write a correct one out. If you enjoy such experiences as above the following are on par. Eating Glass Fighting a venomous snake blind folded Fighting a pack of wolves Visiting Epstein’s island in the early 2000s as a teenage Girl Playing kiss chase with Uncle Bobby dressed as an alter boy
The clinic manager told my suicidal friend that her life was not his concern. He refused to file paperwork for months and the clinic lied on all of the forms. When asked if he could check her record real quick, he refused because it was noon and he said he wanted to get off work at 1pm that day. This place does not care about their patients which you can see from so many other reviews.
Awfully unsupportive staff employed to support vulnerable people at this "clinic" Rude and in competent. I urge you to avoid if at all possible.
Carl should not be allowed around patients because he says and shows that he does not care. He makes suicidal patients feel more depressed.
I'm sorry but there's so much moaning on here when we are all really lucky to have intervention from a free service! I know it's frustrating sometimes but I've had nothing but brilliant care from receptionists right up to doctors. My doctor is fabulous and I don't know where I'd be without the intervention of Lyndon Clinic and her excellent care. It'll never be perfect but that's the NHS, struggling under the weight of endless patients. If you're alive and getting help, you're incredibly fortunate and it won't do you any harm to recognise that. 5 stars, brilliant care. Hope others have had the same experience!
Doctors have no expression during appointments except a look of distaste, bordering on annoyance. I know other patients are aware. No idea how to interact effectively, therefore write fiction about the appointment. Sent my notes indirectly to my perpetrator of domestic abuse because they didn’t check who they were for! If I didn’t have PTSD before the lyndon doctors appointments I definitely do now. 2 paracetamols should do it!
I factually had to treat myself. Lyndon clinic did absolutely nothing for me except for putting me on medication, but even then, they left me on it for far too long, causing all sorts of other problems for the duration I was on them for. To make matters worse, the professionals do a grand job of making you feel different to everyone else. They make you feel [I will not use the word out of respect] and you are reminded of this every time you speak to them. Very disappointed.
This place is doing the best they can considering the economical changes to all caring sectors. It's a free service as well and since they are the only people who can help me at the moment with my mental health it doesn't seem appropriate or fair to blame any staff members for issues that directly correlate with an overburden of workload. Everyone is there for the right reasons and a little understanding and patience from the patients wouldn't go amiss. Thank you for your help to all staff at Lyndon, I'm truly greatful for the time you give me.
