Went in to surgery elective admission unit also known as day surgery, was a great experience in terms of how I was treated by nurses and medical staff. Very polite and helpful people. Was treated very kindly and was even helped to get into the taxi as I wouldn't walk. Thanks to all as staff at this hospital for your kind efforts and genuine care towards the public
Went for an endoscopy. Arrived on time but had to wait nearly one and half hours for procedure. Once seen the staff were very kind and reassuring. Unfortunately there was no one the front desk of hospital; so spent 15 mins walking around the hospital to find the endoscopy depth.
until 2020 this hospital was best, trust worthy for pregnant women now the staff has changed and it has become risky for pregnant women. I was asked to stay at home wherein I was 8cms dialated. the emergency unit of maternity ward was rude to me at that painful moments.0
The hospital is free there is no patients the doctors and nurses just running around for nothing. Women unit nobody opens the door we were ringing the bel for 15 minutes thank God we were early otherwise they would have made an excuse that we are late finally someone was coming out otherwise we would not have been seen. Sharon Kirby who is the sonoghrapher at the antenatal unit when we told her about the situation nobody was opening the door she completely ignored us and she was angry like she has never been paid before. She was rude and aggressive.
Recently I recived a procedure to remove skin cancer from my face, I am so grateful for the speed both my local surgery escalated this to Solihull Hospital and how quickly they operated on me and I understand they have removed this completely and they will monitor me for the next 5 years, I am also extremely grateful to my good friend who encouraged me to seek medical advice, bless her I am also e I
Excellent hospital, caring and compassionate, thank you all for taking such good care. Pity we don't have an A and E but pleased the minor injuries returning
I have yearly mammograms here as part of the family screening programme. For the previous 4 mammograms I have never received a letter with my results but have usually been able to get them over the phone. This year they have stopped this so not only have I NOT received my results by post, I have also not been able to obtain them over the phone. I was advised they would post them out to me when I phoned up. Still waiting three weeks later and I have phoned and emailed again but I am getting nowhere! I can only presume my mammogram is ok but for the sake of my anxiety it would be nice to know!
Rheumatology department are absolutely awful. The secretary of my rheumatologist is patronising, rude and has no bedside manner whatsoever. I’ve been to Solihull hospital a few times and most of the staff here are very unfriendly. I refuse to ever be treated here again.
I was taken in 5days before christmas with a pulmonary embolism in heartlands staff were brilliant and they let me out Christmas Eve but I recently had an appointment come through for a review and it was at solihull they sent me appointments t got 1.30 today I was waiting to go in and a staff member came out and said we don’t need to see you today it’s to early but I am 77 and going there and waiting for them to turn round and say we won’t be seeing you today as it’s to early to see you Well I was frurious to have a letter stating I have an appointment at 1.30 Solihull then come out and said they not seeing me as it was to early but they sent made the appointment for today At 1.30 I am 77 years old don’t need this stress it’s disgusting Janet Cornock It cost me my petrol and wasted time !!
This is the worst place to put a elderly person, no compassion, no communication, move them and don’t tell nearest of kin.. just like a parcel bundle off to a care home, think she might have arrived my DHL carrier company , a complete fares never been so angry in my life, these are people with feeling, not parcels,
