Lord Bute Hotel & Restaurant

Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and well presented. Will definitely go back to stay. Location was great just five minute walk to the beach.

Service was not attentive and took over 5minutes for someone to notice when I was trying to get their attention. lamb and duck both overcooked, felt like all meals had been pre cooked and just warmed to serve. Flavour of food was good though. Weren't asked how our food was on any of the 3 courses. Water jugs heavily water marked. "background" sax player very loud making conversation difficult.

First class service by excellent staff and rooms clean and breakfast first class. Within walking distance of local amenities and Highcliffe Castle and beach Short drive to New Forest and Lymington and Bournemouth and Christchurch. Would thoroughly reccomend.

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years it is a favourite with my parents in law. Food is good and wine list varied but a bit pricy. It can be very crowded consequently service suffers, We waited an hour before being served and meal took 4 hours over though admittedly it was for Sunday lunch. However, don’t let this put you off as it has a nice ambience and worth a visit, but perhaps on quieter moments i.e. mid-week
