Having recently moved to the area we stumbled across this gem whilst exploring Highcliffe. The staff could not do enough for our family once we entered the restaurant. My daughters loved the food we will be sure to visit again soon. Very good nan bread.
The food was delicious, chicken cooked to perfection. High quality food best Indian takeaway for years. Meals were good sized portions. Nan bread, rice, chips to accompany all very nice and freshly cooked. New owners, their official opening night is next weekend, with special offers. Sadly will be back home by then, but hope people read and go along. Now called Highcliffe Tandoori not Elephant.
Great food, nice surroundings, pretty terrible waitress - we really struggled when communicating with her. Also it's more than cheeky that none of the photos in their menus and on their website are of their food or even food you can order there, a bit fraudulent if you ask me, that said what they do make was delicious.
We booked a table and waited for 10 minutes to be seated. We then waited 10 minutes for our drinks which were incorrect, the food tasted like tinned curry and I was sick in the toilet of the restaurant. We were also charged for our meals which is odd.
We visited whilst holidaying in the area. The food was average, over priced and small portions.. the waiters had no idea what they were doing.. Then they tried to overcharge us and became quite aggressive when we queried it! Stay away
Wouldnt use it again, service very poor and the food mediocre, they only take cash no cards dodgy tax dodge? walked past recently in daylight and there are loads of dead flies between displayed menu and window, wouldnt have gone in there had I seen that first ...not appealing yuck!
Food is superb, staff friendly and helpful. Been in a couple of times in last few months and will definitely be going back :-
I went on 24 September with my relatives. It's very good restaurant. It's food very delicious and spicy.
They weren't accepting card payments, had no draught beer, and the food wasn't great. Won't be heading back anytime soon
Very Good! Enjoyed the food and really good hospitality - would return.
