Brilliant selection of wines and fantastic irish cheeses. The staff were very knowledgeable and welcoming. It was lovely sitting in the arcade tasting their delicious delicacies. The go to spot for wine and cheese in Dublin. Highly recommended. If i had checked luggage on my return flight I would have bought a bottle from the brilliant selection to take home. Well done loose cannon.
Friendly staff in a nice location next to Georges Street Arcade in Dublin 2. TV chef John Torode recently visited as part of his Food Network series about Ireland. Can get glasses between €7.5 & €9 and nice cheese toasties. Great selection of cheeses. Also acts as a bottle shop.
Ireland is going through a Golden Age in cheese production, winning left, right and centre at the World Cheese Awards. Loose Canon offer 3 toasties with the very best of Irish cheeses, on beautifully fresh bread. Pair with one of their organic wines. This place is very hipster. You’ll be standing when it’s busy but who cares when a cheese toastie that bests all other European cheeses is at stake? As a bespoke tour guide, I have to do a deep dive on Irish food culture. At Loose Canon you’ll taste the latest direction Ireland’s food culture is heading in.
Absolutely loved this little gem of a shop. Located right next to George’s arcade, Loose Canon is the perfect lunch break spot. The servers are very knowledgeable about their wines and even had a wonderful selection of natural wines. I got a grilled cheese toastie with delicious cheeses and chorizo in it. I paired it with a wonderful rosé. There isn’t much seating inside besides the window bar so I sat out front which was perfect for people watching on the busy street. I would definitely recommend this spot for a casual lunch and some day time wine sipping. Really lovely atmosphere and delicious food.
Lovely spot for grabbing some wine! They are all organic, and they have lots of options. We found the wine a little overpriced, as well as the snacks but the wine was great and the service was wonderful! The team working there was friendly and helpful when picking a wine. Would recommend but keep in mind the cost!
Unique place for Natural Wine and Cheese in Dublin. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Wine by the glass or bottles, small plates. You can also shop to bring home.
Go to place for a crispy glass of organic wine. Amazing service and very helpful wine experts. Have i mentions cheesy toasties? they are stunning!
What an oasis in a desert of banality... Great spot for wine and cheese... Staff really knew their stuff... Let us sple a few wine to find our taste and provided a beautiful little spicy red... Highly recommended
One of the more smaller wine bars in dublin. Staff are great to talk to, very knowledgable of wine, and made some great recommendations. I’d love to visit again and sample some cheese along with more wine pairings. Would love to see some more €5 glasses on wine on the menu but that’s about it.
Absolutely delicious toasties which can't be beaten! Lovely little wine and cheese cafe. Highly recommended.
