Great location and staff was really nice. However they were out of fish and chips and any other fish items. Cool interior and if weather is nice sitting outside is a good option. Pizza was well cooked and veggie quiche was plentiful. Burger was cooked well with their house mayonnaise.

This place has a pretty big selection of drinks to choose from. I really liked the 'fresh virgin' moctail. The service was fast and we were able to get a table without a reservation.

Awful experience here. Such a shame as has so much potential. Staff were rushed off their feet and clearly just inexperienced.  Forgot to put my order into the kitchen and we needed to remind one member of staff twice that it hadn't arrived she then avoided our table and eye contact.  We got upand walked to another staff member 20 minutes after my husband had finished his main and we were eventually told the order was not places in the system and sorry would we like it now????  30 minutes later it arrived and the disappointment was real...see snap of what I ordered and what I recieved all cold and the half a bundy im assuming they think is ciabatta was just bread and untoasted - no salad. 6 prawns floating in luke warm melted butter on a lice of lemon  We had to send it back. They took it off the bill and provided a free cocktail to their fairness .. but the girl who dealt with the situation just seemed exhausted and couldn't understand our complaint. no manager came to apologise and no follow up.  100% would not recommend. Spoke to the tables either side and both had the same complaints.

This is the first time i have ever left a poor review for any location but had very poor experience at Cafe Bar H. Waited one hour and fifteen minutes and no food arrived. In that time asked the waitress twice and she stated food was coming. Eventually spoke to the manager who was very condesending. She stated that according to her records the food was sent out. Then she said we could leave or she get food put on. No apology given or didn't say sorry. Very poor customer service. Will not be going back and would not recommend.

It was ok. Order taken incorrectly even though not busy??!! Price of "house" wine €10 more than on menu - when scanned csme up as€40/botyle even though menu said €30!!! Rip offf...

I popped in here on a Friday evening after work whilst waiting for a friend to meet me. The staff were so friendly. I had a bouquet of flowers and stupidly put them down sideways and spilled water all over the counter. They happily cleaned it up and gave me a jug for my flowers. I had a lovely glass of wine with some feta cheese bites which were delicious! I sat back relaxed and enjoyed it. The view out onto the canal is beautiful and the ambiance is calm and comfortable. Perfect for unwinding after a long week at work. Can’t wait to get back.  #Visit 2: My partner and I stopped in for a bite to ear pre theatre. Happy to report the service was just as good as the first time around. The staff are so pleasant and the food was tasty. A lovely ambience.

Visit 7th Jan. My first time ever writing a google review and felt I had too. Utterly disgusted with the quality of food for the prices. €14.50 for 11 basic chicken wings..beef burger with browning lettuce €16.50..I'd put a better burger together at a bbq...€17 chicken marinade..basically slab of breaded chicken on lettuce and tomato and €17 prawn gambas for about 6 prawns serviced with lettuce and rocket...€20 fish and chips? Cocktails and drinks were perfect...staff were fine but you cannot be expected to serve this quality of food and get away with it because its on the doorstep of bord gais theatre. Become a cocktail bar and stop serving food..or rebrand as Eddie rockets or wetherspoons and charge their prices.

Requested high chair for baby on a couple of occasions but did not receive it for had to hold baby on lap. 45 min delay in food being received from being ordered and even then a further delay if 10 minutes for 2 of our party's food. Food quality was only okay and considering price not value for money. Setting is very nice.

We ordered chicken wings to share @ €14....10 wings no sauce......requested more so aok. Gambas prawns as main course €17.50 for 6 prawns definately NOT gambas in a tiny ramkin with some rocket & bread....am still starving. Fish n Chips for himself...thankfully he shared with me. Asked staff if prawns was a starter ...was told no...do I want to order more food ...eh !!!!!!!!! Thankfully...partner shared fish n chips but still hungry. Looks like  BIG' change of menu...only sufficient for children...go to McDonalds ...at least u will be fed.
