Warmly and professionally greeted upon arrival. Assigned an assistant. Waited less than 5 mins for "Isobel" Brilliant. Checked my credentials. Asked me to demonstrate my login problem on her laptop. In less than a minute she was more "clued up" about my problem than 15 mins on phone to online support. She spent about 10 mins with someone on the end of her phone and problem solved. I was invited to satisfy myself that login was now back to normal before I left, a happy bunny. I'm 77 and at no time did I feel intimated or inadequate as a non techie. Thanks Isobel
Went to deposit money. The chap at the counter remarked rudely “ can you not fold it like that, we’re not meant to take it if it’s folded like that, I’ll have to ask my colleague if I can accept it! “ I was left flabbergasted by his rude tone of voice. I felt extremely upset too as it’s not what you expect to be greeted with in a place where great customer service should be priority. I was then asked how much and then told to put my card in with no please or thank you throughout the service. I’ve been going to this branch since I was a child, never have I ever been dealt with rudely. All the staff have been very friendly and polite. This chap told me he’s not even normally here, and that he knows not to take folded notes. I showed him my purse and told him I have no option but to fold it as my purse is small. I felt I was being reprimanded when he again told me I’m not supposed to deposit folded notes. He went off huffing and puffing supposedly asking if he should accept my money to deposit.
On Thursday I opened an account at the Lloyds bank branch in Huddersfield and I cannot praise the service I received highly enough. The process was straightforward and efficient and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first experience of Lloyds bank and it is streets ahead of other financial institutions I have dealt with in the past. I definitely recommend this bank.
Went in with a query about how Google pay had actually got my new bank card details before my bank had even released my new bank card to myself. The lady, that I saw was very helpful and polite. And spent a reasonable length of time investigating the matter at hand to a satisfactory conclusion.
Special shout out for Louise who helped us with a quite complicated family financial situation and procedure . She was very efficient, friendly and fitted us in for an appointment at short notice . Thank you
Ordered travel money over phone. I was promised that the money would be sent to the local branch the next day before 13:00pm. Visited the branch just before 16:00pm but got nothing. The cashier advised me to check if I got email confirmation so I left the counter to do so. However there’s nothing. So I need help to find out what happened. I queued again. There were four staff behind the counter. Two of them were working with customers. One was busting in counting cash. The other one was looking over the two busy cashiers’ shoulders and making radom conversation with the cashiers and customers. I tried to get her attention for a quick query. She rowed her eyes and gave me a cold look, simply remarking, “Sorry! I am helping them”. It’s 16:25pm. I took a picture and turned around. There were quite a few customers behind me. With a good wish that they would be served before closing time, I walked out of Lloyds. I’m going to close my personal accounts in Lloyds after the holiday.
Not sure what use the floorwalker was. Couldn't deal with the issues people had and only wanted to get people to use the machines. WE DONT ALL WANT TO USE THEM, SOME OF US LIKE TO BE SERVED NY A PERSON.
Went to pay in a large cheque. It looks derelict and is closed due to leaks. Walked all round building only to see a small notice high up in a window giving reason for closure and telling you to go to other Towns. Is the postbox still being used or not. LLoyds could do a lot better in informing the customers.
Customer of 20+ years. Do not trust them. They are dishonest and ruthless. They will ignore or hide the truth to cover up their mistakes then aggressively try to blame you the customer. If you complain they get even more aggressive. They will do anything to avoid culpability. Avoid banking with Lloyds if you want an honest fair bank.
They just updated the machine but the deposit one ate my cash!! Almost 300 pounds! And the feedback was my money just gone! Ridiculous! The worse experience I’ve ever had in any banks!
