First the branch, why when they have nearly 20-30 people queuing they only have 2 counters open all the while there are 2-3 customer service people walking about. More recently they wont even allow a family member to pay money into my account unless its a bank transfer. Whats the point of even having a branch if i can do it online only. The service itself i cant really complain, but the above issues is why i am in the process of closing my accounts with them.

I wouldn’t even give this bank a star but it’s the only way to get to comment. I have dealt with Barclays Bank and I can say it is the worst. I wanted a loan cause was desperate I got scammed by the people who said they was a loan company, the wanted me to send money to them to get a loan so while on the phone with an employee of Barcleys and another with the scammers, I had told the Barcleys worker of what’s going on so he instructed me to send the money once the loan people can send me an email to state I’ll get the money. Anyways I did as was instructed by the Barcleys employee and send the money to the loan people aka scammers and I never got the loan they took my money then when I told Barcleys about it they didn’t even help me to get my money back I told them to listen to the recording of the day it all happened and what I was instructed to do by there worker and I’m sure they didn’t but all they did was put me as fraud and suspend by card and remove me as a customer. They never listens to the recording that they had. I’ve never done fraud in my life and was new to getting a loan so got scammed but I believe in karma and it will return to those people I dealt with at Barcleys. The people that works there are horrible people and don’t care about their customers. We are the ones that are keeping that place going and if we changed banks there would be flat on their face. Just a WARNING to people there are NO CUSTOMER CARE with Barcleys bank, ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!

Banked with them for over 40 years, nowadays even though branch has been revamped, it is an awfull place, poor slow service, no common sense and they don't value customers time, they like to waste it. Peak times they have 2 counter staff. One of the worst Banks and branch ever dealt with.

Can be slow in branch at peak times but whwn my husband lost his job they were great allowing all the bills to be paide and let us carry on as normal until he found another job then they worked with us to clear the overdraft not many banks would do that
