Good location spoilt by poor , cold draughty showerooms, handbasins still had same blokes beard bristles after 3 days so obviously poor if any cleaning schedule . Shop was inadequate- suggest you bring your own food … We asked Linda in the “shop”if we could order pain au chocolate for 2 people and on asking her how big they were she described them as being quite small .. the cost ?…….£8 ! A real shame …. they could do so much better here …..
Very peaceful location. Camping is tiered with views of the sea. Roadway is steep and on gravel. Shop on site but only open 2hrs a day for basics. Access to Watermouth Castle and Bay from the campsite not fit for wheelchair access. Shower block and toilets are adequate. Table tennis table, firepit hire, amongst other options. Electric hook-ups, but no fully serviced pitches. Water within easy reach of every tier. All in all a lovely place to stay
Well run, dog friendly, campsite with beautiful coastal views. Entrance is a VERY sharp turn, even in a 6m van it was a challenge, suggest most campers approach from Ilfracombe. Toilet block excellent, pitches on stepped area where we were, flat no chocking needed. Croissants etc available in the morning from the small shop which sells essentials. Mobile signal very flakey but WiFi available if you're close to the shop. Delightful Watermouth harbour 5min walk take path through dog walking field stop for a coffee at the converted boat. From there follow coastal path to picturesque Coombe Martin with Sawmill pub along the way, but note, it's very steep in parts! Break up the return walk with a cream tea at Sandy Cove Hotel, stunning views.
Just bloomin' lovely here. Only stayed one night as touring but made the most of it. Fantastic views, fabulous shower block. Lovely walk to harbour and views from South West Coastal Path. Only 15 min walk to The Sawmills for great food, drink and service. Owners of campsite really friendly and welcoming. Hope to return for a longer stay where we shall walk to Coombe Martin and Ilfracombe. Thank you
Lovely campsite! While bikepacking the only campsite we stumbled on with fresh baked bread in the morning. Absolutely stunning view over the sea and a very friendly price for hikers and bikers.Service: 5/5
Little Meadow is the most chilled, relaxed location with astonishing views of its spectacular surroundings. Service: 5/5
Stayed here for one night during our motorcycle tour of Devon and Cornwall. What a beautiful place! The views, the pitch under the 150 year old tree and the sunset, magic. The location is fantastic, the facilities are clean and accessible and the staff are kind, down to earth and welcoming. Freshly made-to-order croissants and pastries in the morning too! We will be back to stay here again as one night on the motorcycles meant we couldn't explore the area.
Stayed here in our campervan for one night whilst on the road turned up early evening with no booking, no problem the lady could not have been more welcoming loverly clean site with amazing sea views. Toilet showers recycling facilities and elsan point. Will definitely be back.Service: 5/5
Lovely little hillside site with fantastic views. The facilities are good and well maintained, and are at the bottom of the steep site which is terraced, separated by hedges, either side of the access road. These terraces have 3 or 4 pitches on each side of the road, meaning nearly everyone gets a good view of the Watermouth headlands and the Bristol Channel across to Wales. There is a footpath from the site down to Watermouth and it's amenities, and access to the coast path. The only slight niggle, for me anyway, was that we were given a pitch right next to another couple rather than being left to choose to our own preferences on the half empty site.
A really lovely site with sea views excellent facilities and a great family atmosphere. A short taxi ride to Ilfracombe and a short walk to the family amusement park next door. The pitches were really generous and well looked after and the greeting on a arrival was both warm and friendly.
