A lovely site on the hill. Its a 5- 10 minute walk to the beach. The nearest beach is dog friendly. You can also do a coastal cliff walk from here too. There's a larger co-op in town. Its a fairly small town. Being on a hill it's quite steep in places to walk. Also this site may not be suitable for lowered vehicles due to the angle of the roads. It's a small site, but the caravans are spacious and far apart. The main area offers a bar, a menu, and a cooked breakfast option on certain days. I found the staff to be some of the friendliest I've ever encountered on a site. Great for couples and those who like peace and quiet. To note, parking is on the concrete, not grass. Most of the caravans do not see the sea, due to the trees. However you can clearly see it from the main restaurant area.
Made our spring break feel very comfortable staying in Gold apartment. Staff are friendly and helpful. The apartment is situated high up above Combe Martin village in Devon, with views of the woods, village and beach. Loads of space and good value for money. Nice and quiet. Facilities on site are fine and there's a nice Premier store in village that seems to stock a lot of handy things besides the groceries. Despite the weather being rainy we had a good time and would visit again.
Not as clean as it could be. The carpets and sofas could do with a thoroughly good clean. Food crumbs all over both on arrival. The mattress cover had clear signs of prior use, which I know is the whole point, but it made for a feeling of uncleanliness the entire week. Good location however and staff were friendly.
8 person caravans are really maximum 7 person if the person on the pull out bed likes to sleep on a trampoline with a small bedding, ended up putting pillows on the floor. Little run down, gabs in the door frame/ windows, missing dishwasher front cover, carpet a trip hazard warn down, faying pans rusty needs replacing rusty, Taps in kitchen wrong way round, taps says hot in fact is cold etc lol. Windows shades were hanging down/bent, also burnt bits on netting, Twin room isn't very long, beds really for someone under 6ft,
Lovely place for crabbing. Lots of rock pools. Kids really enjoyed the week here.
Great location. Very lovely, helpful staff in restaurant. Caravan was dated! And too much of the owners' belongings scattered around the place....
Great value for money, and the views were fantastic. The reception building had great character being an old stone building. Our silver accommodation was clean and tidy, not the most modern but definitely not dated either, but kept in very good condition and the layout was great. It was kitted out with everything you need for a great stay. I phoned ahead for a late checkin, which was no problem at all for the staff. All in all fantastic.
Five Stars is for location great views and pet friendly! Staff were Amazing Top Service! There were no smell of wet dogs clean and fresh...We had issues which were our own fault although at 8pm the Staff arrived and solved it! We would reccomend more light coming up to the site..its steep and a few pot holes...bring torches! A launderette on site would help as other reviews say about doggy smells and wet clothes ..booking again though!
Just returned from a 4 night break at this park. Stunning location, friendly staff, very hilly so not for anyone with mobility issues. For the price we paid it was adequate, but unfortunately the smell of damp dogs was absolutely awful, we couldn't sit on the sofas as they smelt awful, as was the carpet. Thankfully we just used the caravan as a base so we were out all day. That said, we did enjoy our stay very much in this wonderful park location but cannot give 5 stars due to the awful dog smell. As a non pet owner we should have been asked if we would prefer a non pet caravan. Next time I will ensure we ask for a pet free caravan.
Lovely site. All on hillside so you need to be quite fit to walk if as our caravan was ,you are at the top. Lovely staff helpful and friendly. Only slight issue was caravans have no where you could sit outside and enjoy stunning views or the hot weather whilst we were there.
