Nice place. Had an overnight stay and a visit to the spa area. Clean and well presented, staff were friendly and attentive. We didn't eat in the restaurant until morning for the breakfast. A fairly standard breakfast buffet, got choice of food, hot and again well attended by staff. We had a view over the canal to the rear of the hotel with a nice snowy scene. The rooms are quite small and the bathroom a bit on the compact size but it suited or needs. Biggest downside was the mattress was very soft and not to put liking but it's more a personal choice on our behalf. The spa area was again clean and well presented. The changing rooms have a modern appearance and the lockers that require you to put your own pin number in are a nice addition. The swimming pool area has low level colour changing lighting and a nice décor. There is a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi which are included in the overnight stay at the hotel.

I was treated to a lovely midweek spa the treatments were a massage and facial both were lovely. The food was a hot buffet and there was plenty choice with a gorgeous chocolate cake to finish. Sadly the facilities were a let down. The main pool was cold, I heard a few grumbles during my stay, some from regular members. The lounges in the relaxation rooms are garden furniture lounges and are not comfortable. The cushions are worn thin and stained from damp bottoms please invest in some proper spa quality seating.

Booked a premier double room for the weekend with canal views .. tiles in shower not clean .. found a piece of broken glass in the fruit salad at breakfast .. only when chewing the fruit .. notified staff who were not bothered .. their lack of interest and attitude shocked me! I had to advise they took the fruit salad off the breakfast bar before they took any action! For this reason I would NOT advise staying there as their food preparation systems are obviously poor. You stay totally at your own risk! Good luck!

I stopped by this hotel and spa for a coffee. I wanted to check out the spa facilities for a future visit with a friend and I had a good look around. The lovely receptionist in the spa showed me around and I was wowed by the facilities - lovely pool and a very nice, fully-equipped gym. I walked to the hotel and restaurant for the coffee. It's a lovely setting with a stream running through it and the restaurant dining room overlooks a canal. I am definitely returning for a proper spa stay.

Loved our spa day here. It's a huge place so even though it was busy we always managed to find spaces to chill that weren't crowded. Treatments great and so was our afternoon tea. Will be back...
