First time visiting this stunning hidden gem. Did you know it's the largest public square in London? And the grand architecture is captivating, lots to see, dont forget to look up. The gardens are perfect for a spot of pack lunch. Nearest tube stations, Holborn, Chancery Lane and Temple. Sir John Soane, London School of Economics, Royal college of Surgeons is all walking distance too.
Beautiful building stooped in history. A place of inspiration for anyone wanting to study law and become a Barrister and a member of 'The Law Society'. There are also conference rooms for lectures and meetings as well as also catering facilities. Would recommend this location to either visit as a tourist or to a budding law student.
This is a beautiful peaceful place in the centre of London. If you are fortunate to be a member or know one, you can dine in the great hall or work in the library. Otherwise walk around the grounds.
Fabulous architecture and gardens. Lots of history and well worth reading up on the area. Good selection of expensive cars parked here! Search out the hawks that are brought here three times a week to keep the seagulls away. A perfect place to take time out from the busier parts of the city.
Beautiful architecture, well preserved, great historical value. It's worth a guided visit, especially through their library and dining hall. Also, the place is being renovated, so some parts are off-limits.
Lincoln's Inn Fields is the largest public space in London. A pleasant, quiet and unique part of London that's quiet in the weekends. The area around the fields is very much a lawyer's playground as it's close to the Inns of Court. The professional association of barristers in England and Wales. Other prominent builds in the area belong to the London School of Economics. Although it's supposed to be a public square, the fields is more like a park with a bandstand like structure in the centre. Inside the fields are also fields for Tennis and Netball. There's also cafe. On a nice day, it's pleasant to sit on the many benches, have lunch and watch the many squirrels that inhabit the park.
Worst experience ever No hospitality, no respect at all.. When I'm trying to eat one of the manager came and he grabs my plate from my hands seriously without my mistake... I don't know how this comes under hospitality service..
Nice little park, particularly popular when warmer. Actually has some tennis courts which are kept up to standard. Recently on the south east side a LSE building was use to film an ITV drama show "The Halcyon". Very interesting buildings around it
Lincoln's Inn Fields is a large public square in the Holborn area where you can find a nice patch of green space and a collection of interesting historical attractions which surround this field. The square was originally laid out in the 1630s and was at one time the execution site under the Tudurs and Stuarts. Now, in addition to a generally nice park you can see Lincoln's Inn and the attractive Tudor style archway leading into the park. Nearby, you can see Old Curiosity Shop, which may have been the shop referred to in Dicken's novel by the same name. Also, you can visit the very good Sir John Soan's Museum and see the exquisite collection of antiquities on display in what is surely one of London's must surprisingly good museums. Overall, we felt the square itself was fine. It pales in comparison to the large city parks like St. James, Green, Hyde or Regent's parks but it is a nice patch of green space, which is always a nice thing to find in a sprawling city like London. What we did very much enjoy at Lincoln's Inn Field was the Sir John Soan's Museum, which is a remarkable collection well worth seeking out for those who enjoy history and museums.
Great atmosphere. Daughter is a member and she was truly happy to share the cozy bar with her visiting parents.
