Leeds railway station is a bustling transportation hub located in the heart of Leeds city center. The station is well-maintained and offers a range of amenities, including cafes, shops, and restrooms. The station is also easily accessible by public transport and is a great starting point for exploring the city.nHowever, signs around the station, especially the platforms are not very well-placed, and I did see a lot of people miss trains because of this, myself included.
This is quite a spacious train station with great accessibility with lifts and wide aisles suitable for disabled people as well as lounge areas with a conveninece store on some platforms too as well as cafes and deli stores located throughout the station.nnHowever it isn't well signposted as its not always clear where you are meant to get your train from and many people have missed their train bc of that.
I'd like to commend the people that take care of the ladies' rest room at the station. Others mentioned how small these facilities are compared to the number of passengers the station is serving.nI have to say, the ladies' restroom at the entrance hall last Sunday afternoon was *spotless* and the care taker lady while refilling the paper towels managed to be kind helpful to everyone in the queue. I never expect anything from public rest rooms, so this was a pleasant surprise, so much so that I still think about it 3 days later! Thanks for your work.
Toilets far too small for size of station, loads of building work ongoing with poor signage, not enough staff on automatic barriers several of which don't appear to work on scanning paper tickets. Not an awful place to pass through quickly but pretty dire if you have to wait for a connection....
A nice modern station which is actually very big with 20 platforms. Was quite busy when I was there during evening rush hour. There is plenty of food choices in the station as well as free toilets. I look a star away because you can't buy your tickets from the staff they just point you to the dreaded machines.
