Fantastic gem of a hotel. Excellent service and polite friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Great personal service We booked room with a terrace which was really quiet and beautiful with table and chairs outside on the patio. Room spotless clean. Great car parking at front and back. Lovely Georgian building. 10mins Walking distance to Bath closer to Crescent , bit of a hill coming back we walked but it is extremely steep but bus and taxi are plentiful
A great hotel, good staff and excellent restaurant. Fantastic attention to detail from the kitchen and restaurant staff, they dealt with my allergy requirements effortlessly and I had a lovely meal. There are lots of steps internally so it is definitely worth telling the hotel if you have a mobility impairment. Taxi's to the centre cost around £8. A great stay, i would definitely return. Thank you
We had a lovely two night stay. Rooms were very comfortable and excellent hygiene with all amenities. The food was amazing, served piping hot and fresh, overall tasted fab! A big shout out to hotel management and all the staff! Very very kind, helpful, extremely professional and very attentive. I will definitely be visiting Bath again and will return to this hotel for sure!
After 2 emails with no reply from anyone sadly I will write a review. Had to change rooms when we arrived as the small room we were accommodated was way too hot and the fan was broken. Kindly upgraded us to a different room however we had even more problems. Shower in the new room didn’t work, when reporting it they said there is nothing they can do until Monday we stayed on a Saturday night so we were unable to even have a shower which is ridiculous. They couldn’t provide us with other washing facilities even in the previous room. The room was incredibly hot and they were unable to provide us with an extra fan - we were told again there is nothing they can do. Went down to reception at 4.30am to get help with the heat as we couldn’t sleep - no one was on reception even after waiting down there for 40 minutes and ringing the phones. Finally found someone 2 hours later who couldn’t help with anything and was most unhelpful. Room was really dusty on all the picture frames, mirrors etc. Paid £230 for one night and left utterly disappointed. Expect at the least a decent shower and sleep for that price. I was going to leave a 2 star review but seeings as I’ve been totally ignored by everyone 1 is the only option. Lovely location and very nice looking hotel but hugely disappointed by our stay and even further disappointed by the complete lack of acknowledgment.
A two night stay at the Lansdown Grove Hotel proved to be the perfect choice for a birthday celebration in Bath. We were able to park our car in the hotel grounds and the hotel reception was second to none, including meeting our requirements for a room, assisting us with our luggage and delivering a celebratory glass of bubbly ! Our room was clean, comfortable and very quiet with a lovely view over the city. Temperature was perfect and the absence of - often noisy - air conditioning was no inconvenience whatsoever. There was plenty of choice for breakfast with table service being an added luxury. Additional facilities such as a bar, library and lounge were also very comfortable with lovely decor. The hotel is quite close to the city centre and, although on a steep hill, we found no difficulty walking back or, otherwise, there is a frequent bus service available. Service was outstanding from start to finish of our stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
Lovely hotel close to the city center. We liked the hotel's decor and found the room very comfortable. The shower was good and there were tea and coffee facilities, biscuits and water. The staff were very helpful and friendly in both the reception area and at breakfast. There was a good selection at breakfast and the food was fresh and delicious. We would definitely recommend the hotel and stay there again.
We found the staff very helpful and friendly. From the reception staff to the staff serving dinner and breakfast. The hotel appears to have been recently decorated. And our room was really great. Very tastefully done. The hotel is in a super location. Center of town is easily reached on foot. Or by bus. There is car parking at the hotel. First come first served. There is ample pay and display parking on the surrounding streets. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel.
Honestly I’m giving this hotel 2 stars mostly due to the ridiculous temperature in room 220. We turned the one thermostat completely down in the main room and the one in the bathroom wouldn’t adjust. It showed the temperature in the room to fluctuate between 30 degrees and 27 degrees Celsius. I brought it up to the front desk and the guy said yes it was the same issue they were already having and that he would go try to fix it. We also asked them to fix the shower drain which wasn’t draining properly. When we came back that evening it was still so hot that all of our chocolates we bought as gifts for our family members from around the U.K and Ireland had melted and gotten ruined. We brought them to the front desk and they offered us a new room, due to the time we declined because we just wanted to eat and go to sleep. I do appreciate the offer of a new room but that doesn’t fix the issue we had. we should have said yes because sleeping through the night was near impossible we both slept with no blankets on, the outside door wide open and with the fan positioned to blast as much cold air as possible. All of that barely helped with the heat. When it comes to room size and cleanliness I think it’s quite nice and adequate. The breakfast downstairs was quite delicious and coffees were delicious. The parking situation is quite perfect and the location of the hotel is pretty good also. If they fix the heating issue this could work up to 3-4 stars.
A beautiful hotel with great staff. The room was amazing with great decor and comfy bed. The shower room was small but fine. The room could have done with a good dusting as there were plenty of cobwebs but otherwise a great stay. Walkability: Right in the heart of the city
Room beautiful with lovely view, but allocated wrong room. Breakfast was ok but would say not all home made and was seated and had to ask for service as was forgotten I think they seem to require more staff for the breakfast rush. Staff friendly. Up a very steep hill and would advise getting the bus back which is from Victoria Square and the No.31 park and ride. ROOM 309
