An amazing place to stay in a beautiful setting. My wife and I spent three nights here on a mountain biking trip to the region in 2016. The staff are so nice, they made us feel so welcome. The food in the restaurant, although pricey was absolutely worth it. We would definitely recommend the hotel, and we will visit again as soon as we can.

My sister held her wedding at Kirroughtree, it's a country house hotel venue in the countryside (well, dumfries and galloway, it's quite remote for a city girl like me!). But the wedding was wonderful, the staff really went above and beyond to make her day special. I'd have it on my ownshortlist if i thought my sister wouldn't go mental at me. my partner and son stayed in one of the hotel's suites (i was head bridesmaid) at the same hotel and it was lovely. food was quite good too, we didn't eat there the first night before the big day because i've never been very impressed with the quality of hotel food in the past, kirroughtee is a massive exception and i regret that we missed out on a nice meal there (instead we went into Dumfries, which the hotel is close to, and it was tipping it down, quite miserable for a "just ok" meal really - the hotel would have been much better). Anyway, I'd go back!
