It was absolutely lovely. We were upgraded to a larger room on arrival, which really was fantastic, it had a TV in the bathroom, a radio in the mirror, and the room was absolutely immaculate. The pool was excellent too, and we had some really amazing meals on our holiday. Would absolutely stay again!
The function room was large, well staffed with friendly, helpful folk. Toilets good and easily accessed. Car park was adequate but a huge public one nearby also. This was my first time in this hotel and well impressed. Kate
We checked into this hotel for 2 nights and from the lobby we were quite impressed.nWe were given a room key and had to make a trek through the hotel so long that we were in stitches laughing. We were told our room was upgraded to a superior room but that was hard to believe once we saw the room. The website shows that the superior rooms have a king bed. This room had a double. The room especially the bathroom is freezing cold. There was plywood on the bathroom wall where the toilet handle was attached. The room is old and is in some serious need of a refresh, but that aside… our biggest concern is that our room, along with one other is behind a door. You open this hallway door into a tiny little space and you can either access the room we were in, or the other. This other room is obviously some sort or supply room or something for the staff and starting from 6am each morning, there were people in and out of this room, slamming the room door and the hall door over and over. Banging, talking loudly and making all kinds of noise.nThe wifi doesn’t work this far away in the hotel either but thankfully the woman at the front desk was able to connect us to a different network.nYou also need to be prepared to walk up stairs with all of your luggage. There is no way into the hotel without stairs and even once you take the elevator up to your floor, there was still 2 flights of stairs to climb.nWe have stayed at multiple hotels over the last few years weeks along our travels and this is the only one I wouldn’t return to ever.nThis is not a cheap hotel and it’s really quite infuriating that I had to pay so much to stay here.nn**The hotels passive aggressive reply is further proof of why I would never stay here again and why I will be sure to pass this message along to the booking company and all of my friends.
A nice hotel which has the potential to be a fantastic hotel if it were more efficient and paid more attention to detail. We were told to come to dinner at 6pm and then told to go to the bar til we were called through at 7.30pm. Totally disorganised and told different things by different staff members. Seems to run on a wing and a prayer. Gave it 4 stars because a brilliant tamla motown tribute and lovely dinner. Breakfast a bit lacking in variety and pretty useless for vegetarians. Lovely decor in foyer but toilets looked like school toilets and only 2 cubicles in women's toilets. Needs a lot of refurbishing but mostly more streamlined management
Absolutely lovely hotel, spotlessly clean everywhere in the hotel. Excellent , friendly staff. Highly recommend
