Story

The Cairndale Hotel and Leisure Club is ideally situated close to Dumfries town centre and next door to the new DGone Leisure Complex.

The hotel has 91 bedrooms, ensuite and extensive leisure facilities in the Barracuda Club including a pool, sauna, steam room, hot spa bath and an air conditioned gymnasium.

It is one of the largest wedding venues in the area and is also a popular conference and meeting centre.

Free wifi is available throughout the hotel.

My wife and I had a bespoke package, morning spa treatment, lunch, then a massage, dinner and overnight stay, breakfast.nWe had a lovely time, the spa pool, sauna and steam rooms are amazing, so relaxing.nThe young staff are lovely and so helpful and friendly.nThe rooms are very clean, big comfy beds.nThe food in the restaurant is delicious and great quality.nWe had a great time and will return.nWe travelled by train, the station is just 5 mins walk.
Had a brilliant experience at The Cairndale Hotel. The service was spot on — friendly, welcoming, and professional.nnThe Steak burger was amazing, full of flavour , and the chips were honestly the best I’ve ever had.nnThe hotel itself is fresh, vibrant, and really well looked after — clean, modern, and a great atmosphere. The staff were genuinely helpful and made us feel very welcome, will be back to check out the award winning spa with my wife, thank you!
Stayed for a spa overnight. Room was very dated. Was told we had been upgraded but was still very dated room. Apparently spa access is an extra charge over and above. Stayed in spa hotels all over the world and never had this. Spa access is always included but treatments are extra. It is in the details but cleverly worded and further down the confirmation. Staff were lovely and food was delicious. Did a TripAdvisor review before I left and manager thought it would be appropriate to wait for 2 women to check out to berate me,shout at me and make fun of me in front of the staff. Made it very personal which is totally unprofessional. God help the staff having to work for this supercilious man.
We had a fabulous spa break. The spa was amazing. Beautiful pool not too dark, with lots a places to relax. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Loved being able to order from our loungers. Lovely lunch from the light bites menu.nHad a wonderful facial from Wendy. So relaxing. Would highly recommend.nGorgeous room with plenty of space and comfy bed.nHad dinner in the Oaks restaurant. Food was great and the staff were again friendly and welcoming.
We had a fantastic one night stay that was overwhelmingly positive, largely thanks to the exceptional service from start to finish. We were incredibly impressed to be checked in early without even asking and were even given a complimentary room upgrade. While the room itself felt a bit outdated and the shower was quite poor, having Netflix available on the TV was a great modern touch.nnThe service across the board was outstanding, with the reception, spa, and bar staff all going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The bar itself is a very nice space to relax in.nWe did initially find the additional £50 per person for two hours of spa access to be a little steep, especially with the specific time restrictions for hotel guests, but the facilities were truly outstanding and well worth the visit and tbh, good value.nnBreakfast offered a good, decent selection that set us up well for the day, though the experience could definitely be improved by offering better coffee options such as cappuccinos.nDespite the minor issues with the room decor and shower, the high standard of service and the quality of the spa made this a wonderful stay.
