Ignore any of the sad low lifes who have left poor reviews, splitting hairs over their own subjective perspectives. I've bought a lot of bikes over the years from various retailers but without any shadow of a doubt I have never received service and attention from any of them like I have today from this absolutely excellent and outstanding cycle shop in the centre of Manchester. They specialise in steel framed touring/ off road cycles and their range is far different than the mainstream cycle shops with some really interesting bikes built and on display in their showroom. Richard is extremely knowledgable, giving guidance and advice without being patronising, which is a difficult skill to master for some retailers. Having never ridden a Rohloff equipped bike before he had no problem with letting me try out a Surly Troll (brilliant!) and a Salsa Marrakesh for a different frame configuration. I know from experience that most bike shops expect you to order/ buy a bike without a test ride to find out if it is going to be comfortable or suit your particular physique and anatomy. Which is ridiculous, would you buy clothing, shoes, a car, a motorbike etc etc without trying them first? So why, when you are spending hundreds or even thousands of pounds should it be a no no to try before you buy? Luckily, Richard has no problem with this and gives a very honest and intelligent summary of your needs. In addition to their great customer service, they have an excellent range of steel bicycles and quality accessories, and I would say that this makes them a must visit for anyone with this genre of cycling in mind.

This is a great little bike shop, and the staff are really friendly. I've had my bike serviced here and it was a very pleasant transaction and, while it's smaller than much of the competition, don't be put off by that. It's ace.

Really helpful lady listened to what I wanted then we both agreed on the right bike for me. I took it for a quick spin and now I am happily cycling on my new Bobbin. They fitted the extras I wanted and where happy to help with other questions I had. Great communication and I had my new bike within a couple of days. Will definitely return for service and advice.
