Had a great 2 night stay at the Leonardo. Smooth check-in with Alex who was very attentive to ensure we had everything we needed. The room was large and very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Ate in the hotel restaurant which was very good and reasonably priced, again the staff were great.nBreakfast was busy and we had a short wait for a table. There was plenty of choice both hot and cold. The hotel is in a great position in the City Centre. I would certainly recommend it and would definitely stay again.
Nice hotel in a good location. Rooms were very nice. Bed was really comfortable and I slept like a baby.nnOnly slight gripe was breakfast in the am - i felt like they were maybe short staffed- there was a few people running about trying to clear tables and seat people & whathave you but I couldnt have a cup of coffee because there were no cups, I had to wash my own glass with drinking water and a napkin just so I could have some juice. The food was plentyful & tasty however and the lady who sat me down was pleasant although clearly under pressure while her colleague seemed to spend most of the time standing about & chatting.nnNot the end of the world and I would gladly go back.
The property was lovely. Loved the decor and it was very clean and well maintained. GREAT central location, just steps from the train station. Quiet, comfortable room -- great bed and pillows. And loved the soft, fluffy towels. Would definitely stay again. :
This is our 2nd night at Leonardo. The location is great. Close to Grand Central Station, the Ulster Museum, and many places to eat. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Leonardo Hotel if you're in Belfast.
I was expecting better based on my stay at the sister hotel in Bristol.nThe Belfast Leonardo is a pretty average and very busy city centre tourist hotel, crumbling somewhat on the outside but fairly modern on the inside. Sadly the dim lighting and lack of natural sunlight makes the hotel look more worn and less clean inside that it really is. The lighting in our bedroom and especially the bathroom was appallingly bad. We were allocated an accessible room, perhaps because the hotel was quite busy, and although larger than average the bathroom was not pleasant. Zero ventilation and only lukewarm water at the basin, although the shower was hot and powerful.nBreakfast buffet was very busy even though we tried to avoid peak times. On our first morning we queued for 15 minutes for a table, something I have never done in hundreds of previous hotel stays. Breakfast was plentiful in terms of hot food but not all the menu-listed items were available e.g. sliced fruit, granola. On one occasion the red fruit compote was literally frozen. All in all it was mass catering, adequate but not great quality.nThere is a pretty good bar serving good coffee.nStaff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay.nHotel location good, central, making most attractions accessible; plenty of transport options
