Love this hotel. Check in was friendly and nice and I got a late checkout when we left because I’d joined Ihg rewards a few years back.nThe room was smart, clean. Amazing shower. Comfortable bed with white cotton linen. The cleaning staff are the best. Tea/coffee in the room. We were very happynThe location is great. It’s on the end of historic Sandy Row. Right by the grand central station trains and buses. Close to The Crown Pub which is very famous. Easy walking distance to the centre full of shops and great places to eat. Tip if you’re coming from the station look for a place called Halt. It’s got a bright yellow entrance. If you walk in and go straight to the other end you come out at the hotel. Plus it’s a fab place to eat.nThe holiday inn breakfast is the best. Every item is well made and thoughtful. Items vary from day to day. We loved Anna who was a waitress there. So kind and friendly. Nice vegetarian section too.nAll together a lovely stay. We felt at home there. We’d definitely stay again.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Belfast after spending a night at the AC Marriott by the river. Before that, I’d been at Room2—which was amazing but fully booked, so I had to move on. I wanted to be closer to the city after my disappointing stay at the AC Marriott seriously underwhelming for the price, and the rude night employee older man with an English accent didn’t help, so I booked the Holiday Inn for one final night in Belfast before heading to Derry.nnI’m so glad I did! This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly—actually making eye contact and welcoming you in a way that feels real. I had a great vegan burger at the bar, the rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the location is perfect, right next to Grand Central Station.nnI’d absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Belfast. A fantastic experience and great value.
Decent location. Approx 10-15 walk to city hall where you can pick up a hop on hop off tour bus, which is a great way to see the sights and get ideas where to go. 10 mins walk to bus / train station.n5 min walk to the famous crown saloon bar. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast with loads of choice. Rooms clean and comfortable bed. The only downside was that the shower trap was blocked with hair causing a flood, but reported to reception and other was dealt with efficiently.
Very easy to get to from the Central Train StationnWe got there quite late at around 1:30am, so we were quite exhausted from travelling therefore it was very nice that checking in was very quick and easy, we did let them know ahead of time that we will be arriving that late I would recommend doing that as well. The staff at reception was very nice.nThe room was very nice and roomy I particularly liked the pillows they 2 different sides one softer and one firmer. They also had a service to ask for your preferred pillow which included hypoallergenic pillows.nI would have liked there to be a smart tv in the room instead of a standard one since it's nice to be able to Chrome cast etc.nWe only stayed one night but I can definitely recommend it! Would definitely stay there again
Overall an excellent place to stay. Comfort level was easily 5 stars, as was the staff. From the warm greeting you receive from the front reception to the bar, restaurant and floor staff. No hesitation to recommend. Thank you.
