I've been here several times over the years. Biggest positive for me is the atmosphere: it's a nice place to sit down and have a 'waited on' service, but it's also relaxed and informal. Staff have always been lovely and I've always enjoyed the food- And I've found it good value for money especially in comparison to other restaurants. I don't quite think the menu is a strong as it used to be but that's probably just me missing the belly pork! Overall, I have found Jamie's a really nice place to come several times over now.

Thought we would need to book, but even were able to walk in. Staff were really friendly and the food was lovely. I got a burger and my husband got a steak, cooked to perfection. Sadly, no room for dessert.

I hadn't visited Jamie's for some years, but previous experiences at this chain had been quite positive. I chose the octopus ravioli with crab which I thought was excellent and which I would happily eat again. My wife and daughter chose steak and burger respectively but were less impressed. The puddings were unmemorable though. Overall the food was OK, but at £25 a head, the meal was poor value for money in my opinion as it's verging on fine dining territory.

Good position in town and relatively well priced. Not that much choice of the menu, especially for the pizzas but the quality was very good. Overall it was good, but I think you could find a better more rustic Italian in a town as nice as York.

We enjoyed an excellent Sunday Lunch today. The flavour of the Roast Chicken was excellent. We were served by Phil and other staff and provided a truly great service in a chilled out environment. Many thanks to the team we hope to return in the coming week.
