Story

Bennett's Cafe & Bistro has possibly the best location in York, right on the doorstep of York Minster. It's the perfect spot for people watching and refueling whilst out sightseeing or shopping. During the day we serve a range of teas and coffees with delicious homemade cakes, scones, sandwiches and all day breakfasts. And Tuesday - Saturday evenings we have a wonderful cosy Bistro serving the best of British food, all locally sourced and prepared fresh in house daily, perfect with a glass of wine or beer. Another amazing meal at Bennett's bistro. Not expensive either for such good quality food. Great service x

This is a review of the Bistro which runs at Bennetts in the evening. My partner and I have been on a number of occasions and have always been looked after. You definitely feel like you are in an intimate space run by people who care about their customers. The food is generally local and seasonal and reasonably priced for a city centre restaurant. The service has always been excellent. We have also been on one particularly memorable New Year's Eve. The location is great for people watching too. Thoroughly recommended.

Staying at the Minister Hotel called into Bennetts because it was the first place we came too. It looked very warm and welcoming. Shown to a table very friendly and the food was gorgeous we had chicken. I have never teasted chicken like it beautiful and the vegetables where also very nice. We felt welcomed not rushed and enjoyed it. The bill was very reasonable too. Will be calling in again very soon.

Nice little cafe tucked away in York City Centre. Reasonable prices, fast service and a great view of the Minster.

I really love this restaurant. Centrally located, right next to the Minster, and a cozy athmosphere. And absolutely delicious food!
