"Iyengar Yoga London Maida Vale has been welcoming yoga students and teachers since B.K.S. Iyengar first taught classes here in 1984. Located in Maida Vale, a few minutes from the tube station, we are open daily offering classes for all levels from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. Our purpose built studios were designed to provide a bright, calm practice space. As a charity, we run on a non-profit basis with a commitment to offering affordable yoga.We are proud to offer exceptional Iyengar Yoga teaching including specialist classes for 60+, Pregnancy, Children, Teenagers, students with MS & Neurological Conditions and Remedial yoga. We also provide professional development and regular Teachers classes."

My favourite yoga studio that I cannot recommend enough. Tranquil, friendly, professional and welcoming - a true gem that I and many others treasure. Kristyan is a fantastic teacher whose talent, kindness and experience makes for the perfect instructor.
When I enquired about a concessionary rate, i was informed by the receptionist that they do not accept Universal Credit as proof that I am unemployed. Not sure what other proof they need that I am not a fraud and am not working! Will be looking at other places instead.
A safe haven. A beautiful, serene space with great, well-trained teachers. I call this place the Oxford of Yoga, as all the teachers are incredibly highly qualified. Special mentions go to the wonderful Ainhoa Acosta & Khaled Kenddi.
A deeply impressive yoga studio. They have two rooms there, one of which with direct sunlight and design that connects you with the greens outside. The lady at the front is kind and helpful. Classes are often packed so be prepared and come early if possible. Some teachers are better than others, but in general the Beginners classes are very good.
Booked myself a taster, and the instructor turned out to be so rude and arrogant - sadly, I had to leave. The place itself is beautiful outside and the receptionist is also polite. But I wouldn’t stand 60min with that instructor
I had a month in London in August 2015 and attended several classes a week at this amazing yoga space. It was a very good experience for me and I would recommend it to anyone visiting London for a week or two. My yoga improved significantly with the classes I attended and I have come back to New Zealand with renewed enthusiasm for Iyenga. Next years visit to London may well be planned around a weekend course at the institute. Thank you to all the staff.
One of the most special centres I have encountered. Yoga with great atmosphere and professional teachers. I have personally experienced Barbara Norvell giving me dedicated attention and considering my abilities and needs in the yoga class. Highly recommended!
Not quite the Vatican of Iyengar yoga, but close, since BKS himself taught there. Excellent instructor but studio was way too packed with people. No lockers in changing room, too bad. Last but not least, I wonder if they ever clean the yoga mats.
Airy and spacious studio. The teacher I had was very kind, attentive, and has a good eye. The lady at the front was very kind as well. I wish I could attend more classes but surely next time I’m in London
Really awful. I tried 3 different classes before I finally gave up and found a different studio. I came to a beginner level class and arrived early to chat with the teacher beforehand as I have recovered from an injury and have to modify certain poses. During class, she singled me out repeatedly for modifications and at one point stopped the class to insist I do the full pose while she waited and watched. Even for Iyengar style it was terribly strict and deeply upsetting. There are better places to practice close by.
