Not as out of the way as you might think and a great recommendation from the Landlord at Fitzys. Good selection of beer and a nice feel to the pub. We had already eaten so didn't indulge in the cuisine. The taps and poster in the toilet made me chuckle too, really had character.
Fantastic dog friendly pub. Great choice of delicious food very reasonably priced. Good selection of real ales too.
Beautiful traditional pub just south of the city centre . Marvelous selection of ales and food .
Unfortunately didn't get to sample any of the excellent choices on their menu, but this is definitely a pub worth seeking out if you enjoy a great traditional ale house. If you're in town, honestly, it's not to be missed!
Can't fault this really nice pub. Friends said the Sunday lunch was very nice and they were right, give it a go you won't be disappointed The staff are really helpful and for £30 for 2 dinners and a drink each, you can't go wrong.
Good pub, food we had was ok but not mindblowing, will probably just have one of the pizzas next time as they looked better
Food is amazing everytime! Used to go there every Thursday for the Burger deal, and each one of the burgers was delicious, especially the Francesca and the Maria loved the idea of naming burgers after people, quite clever, and the triple cooked chips are just the best! Staff are dead friendly too, which is always a big plus for me! Every time I go back to visit friends in Sunderland, I need to pay it a visit for some beautiful hangover scan!
Great local pub, which specialises in ales and gins. The food is lovely, the pizzas are cooked from fresh with an actual pizza oven. Very chilled out atmosphere with great music and decor. Worth a visit for the food alone
Best local pub with a great local community feel about the place, with lovely food
Nice atmosphere. Nice beer. Nice music. Food looked good. A nice place to chill on a Sunday afternoon
