Absolutely fantastic venue mostly due to the lovely staff, I’ve never felt so welcomed and everyone was so polite. Drinks prices did not feel hideously expensive for London / gig venue. Our evening was saved when my husband who has a pain condition thought we’d have to leave as he couldn’t stand, the head of security arranged for us to go upstairs to the seating area even though our tickets were for downstairs, honestly saved our night.
Great venue for live gigs. It was great to see Randall King perform here. I went up to the balcony where in it has a great view of the stage. I'm a fan of country music so would definitely come back for another country music gig.
Great venue for the Drake Milligan gig and met the man outside! It was well run, staff are friendly and helpful and are very lighthearted in their approach to security and management which makes for a thoroughly pleasant experience. We would definitely come back!
This is the first time I had been to the assembly hall. Lovely venue, akin to a town hall. Acoustics we're great, it's intimate and you have a great view even at the back. Has a regal feel to it and everyone is so friendly. I really recommend it.
We visited the Assembly Hall to see hip-hop legends Arrested Development perform live in London. They were popular as the venue isn't that large and it was packed out. The band put on a great performance and the crowd really got into it.nnThat said it's not a perfect venue as it doesn't seem to have air-con and we became very warm even though we weren't dancing. Also the audio mix wasn't that great as you couldn't make out what the vocalists were singing over the wall of sound. Finally the toilets are pretty poky but at least they're clean.nnStill it was a good show and it wasn't particularly ruined by any of these issues. But it could have been better which is always a slight disappointment.
